Pulled over for a quick bite; just minutes before they would stop their services (just before 15h). They kindly let us pick our meal and then closed the entrance while we were seated outside.

Sectional 40 Championship game. Frankton tying the game after trailing by 12 at the start of the 4th quarter. Frankton couldn't quite pull off the comeback, falling 62-60.
I'm taking another quilt class (my second one) on Friday, so I'm pulling fabrics for our class project.
To ensure safety and stability of the boats competing in the Volvo Ocean Race, each is put through a series of tests and measurements to comply with the Volvo Open 70 Rule. The boats are evaluated both on and off the water in order to produce boats that are seaworthy and suitable for long distance racing, along with being fast and easily driven. Among those measurements is the pull down test. With a halyard attached to a point on the shore, the boat is wound down to a heel of approximately 50 degrees while the keel is canted fully to the same side. The automatic keel centering mechanism is then activated to make sure the system works and the boat returns upright.
A member of the Volvo Open 70 Measurement Group visited the PUMA Ocean Racing training base in Lanzarote, Spain, last week to put PUMA’s Mar Mostro through the pull down test. It’s ready to race.

Pulled up all the way to standing for the first time just before I got the camera and starting taking these photos. Of course he did it using a fire truck. Very appropriate for these boys.

The Tudor Pull passing the Tate Modern - Saturday 20th June 2009. This is a ceremonial event for Thames Watermen's Cutters which is organised each year by the Thames Traditional Rowing Association. To mark the 500th anniversary of his coronation His Gracious Majesty King Henry VIII and his Queen accompanied the 'Stela' in the vanguard of the Royal Procession on board the Royal Slallop 'Jubilant'.
