The Tudor Pull is a ceremonial event for Thames Watermen's Cutters which is organised each year by the Thames Traditional Rowing Association (TTRA).The cutters escort the Thames Royal Shallop 'Jubilant' rowed by members of the Company of Watermen and Lightermen, from Hampton Court Palace to the Tower of London to deliver a 'Stela' to the Governor of the Tower for safekeeping.
The 'Stela' is a piece of medieval water pipe made from a hollowed tree trunk which stands on a base of timber from the old Richmond Lock and which bears the coat of arms of the Waterman's Company.
The 'Stela' is handed over to the custody of her Majesty's Bargemasters at King Henry's Royal Palace at Hampton Court to be carried by river to the Tower of London accompanied by His Gracious Majesty King Henry VIII and his Queen in the vanguard of the Royal Procession on board the Royal Shallop 'Jubilant'.
The cutters are rigged with full ceremonial canopies and flags and rowed with four oars by fully-liveried crews. In keeping with the traditions of the Watermen's Cutters, passengers are carried.
A benefit truck pull for Peyton Messerli, a 12 year old Nevada girl recently diagnosed with leukemia.
It's starting to blond now, and a fine spray has developed. I don't know what causes that, nor whether it's particularly a bad sign.

I don't know if this was a toy that was purchased for me or an older sibling. I just remember playing the bells a lot growing up.
I wish I had a macro lens for this shot. The paint flaking around the branding is fantastic.
So I bet they decided to renovate the clinic and cut out the dry wall but forgot all about the pull station. More like an after-thought

Fracking and Cracking and Plastics, Oh My!!
The People Over Petro coalition assembled on Oct. 22 (during the Shale Insight Conference in Pittsburgh, PA) for an action that conjures a fantasy to draw attention to an unfortunate reality: that fossil fuels and fracked plastic are no way to run an economy. Witches might melt but our ice caps and glaciers will too if we don't get our act together. Learn more and join the coalition at PeopleOverPetro.org.

"Hey, look at us... Take our photo!"
Taken at a family birthday and wound up being the best shot of the day, and the only one where the subject actually wanted to be photographed :P
I should try more portraits... Oh, and I don't have the Photoshop skillz to remove the kid in the background. Sorry 'bout that.

Our zippers are smaller, lock in place, and are stronger!
The zipper on the right is what other upholstery shops and furniture manufacturers use. It is large creating a lump in your pillow or cushion and the tab doesn't stay in place.
The zipper on the left is only at A First Impression; it is smaller, stronger, and locks in place.
