I was told recently that I need to start uploading more pics to Flickr... and adding descriptions.... and tagging things... *sigh*. So, here goes... A fresh new start to Flickr.
This shot was from a Shoot I had with Jenn and Molly, mostly because I was bored and asked if they would mind posing for some pictures. This is one of my favorite shots of the day, since it's a classic example of how Jenn is able to liven up a otherwise pretty standard picture
This is the pulled pork stew lunch special available on some Amtrak trains (including the Silver Service trains) as of the fall 2008 menus.
From the Hawaii kiosk. I didn't bother photographing all the food we had that day, but I figured I'd photograph at least something we ate.
Pulled pork and nachos, together at last. I think I've died and gone to heaven. :)

Sept 2008 - A friend and I were able to secure a couple of tickets to a Notre Dame football game. We spent the afternoon on campus and enjoyed a great game. Maybe this will become our tradition!
A benefit truck pull for Peyton Messerli, a 12 year old Nevada girl recently diagnosed with leukemia.
This is "The Kiddie Tractor Pull". The event is held about midway thru the regular tractor pull. Each child gets on a peddle tractor and they race about 30 feet in two heats. During the secound heat a small sled is attached to the rear of the tractor. If it looks like a child is having a difficult time during the second run an adult will help them. At the end of the 2nd heat each child recieves a trophy reguardless of what place they came in ir how long it took them to finish the last heat. Also all the trophies are provided by the tractor
club and there is no charge for the children to enter.

this lake... it draws me to it. last week, the open water belches steam in sub-zero weather. this weekend, the very same area is completely iced over... no snow anywhere...
i couldn't help it... despite how crazy... i suited up. life jacket. rope. pick hammer. camera. if i was to fall through the ice, i was fairly certain that i would be able to float long enough to pull myself out of the lake.
just as i was about to get started, steve returned my call... yep. he would be down to the shore in fifteen minutes. four hours later, we were still smiling... you see... the lake only freezes completely over every 17 years on average... and only freezes our part every four or five years... and much less frequently... freezes in such a way that you can go for an ice skate... and skate... and skate... we went for 15-20 miles today. crazy crazy fun...
