Soft, tender, drenched in BBQ sauce. Gotta love it!
At Quinte Ribfest 2008; West Zwick's Park, Belleville, Ontario.
The "Training Platter" from Leroy Selmon's (A three meat combo consisting of Hall of Fame Ribs, Soul -Good Pulled Pork and Backyard BBQ Chicken) with a side of bacon and cheese grits and a side of "smashed" potatoes. $19.99
Best pulled pork I've had in a long time. I give the place 4.5 stars. Here's my review of it on Yelp.
I would not advise making this for just yourself, but it would be great to take to a picnic or party!
A nice Pulled Pork "competition" between the Weber OTP including smokenator, WSM 57 (22,5inch) and the BGE XL.
Okay so not a real competition as there are always to manny variables; meat is always different, ed. Still a nice thing to do.
In the end we did notice some difference especially about the tenderness. The BGE XL came out a little on top and after it the WSM. Have to say the thermometer of the OTP wasn't calibrated well,... unfortunately during almost the complete session the dome temperature was about ~20 degrees higher.
Well,.. we had loads of fun making this Pulled Pork. Best thing loads of PP. ;-)

Today a couple of colleague and I busted out of the U District to check out the fuss that Marination has generated. We weren't disappointed.
Ingredients were fresh, service was friendly and fun, prices are kinda guilt-inducing (was my lunch really only $4?), and the food was delish.
And for those of you who think that street food is trashy and scary and oooooo mobile=dirty, relax. It's as shiny and clean as your white grandmother's kitchen, but way more interesting.

Fresh from the broiler. Perfect! The little wispies are charred, any remaining fat has rendered off onto the foil, and the majority of the meat is still moist and tender, but with broiled-in flavor from the glaze. Major Nom!

So, this gravy kind of embarasses me. I'd looked around for a proper "convert drippings to sauce" recipe. And I think I screwed up one of the easiest by totally overloading it on flour. So this is whole wheat flourtastic pork drippings gravy. With Dinosaur BBQ's Slathering Sauce (tm) as a major player.
