Pudding was served at the BBQ...though somebody neglected to hand out silverware. Not that this stopped those greedy kids from eating...
The first winter squash of fall, and I knew I had to pair it with summer's bounty of corn. I was really curious about this recipe as it reminded me of humita corn pudding. I enjoyed this, but as mentioned in the directions, this had a ton of extra pudding which I baked in another dish. I would use a much bigger acorn squash next time, mine was pretty tiny. Yum!

We walked down to Glen Canyon Park on Saturday so Pudding and Umi could go hiking. They spent most of the time sitting on a log talking, but that's OK. This is a very pretty park in the canyon near where we live - we need to do this more often!
The sweaters, hats and scarves Pudding and Umi are wearing in these shots are some of the very first dolly items I purchased in 2009 and are still some of my top favorites!
Here is the end result (without the hard sauce. It is so rich in flavors. Have it with a cappuccino!
