On Sunday evening right before bed, my wife and I hear a "CRASH" and then a "WHAAAAAA". Gabby had tripped and in an effort to keep her balance grabbed the first thing she could, which happened to be a 19" tv, which came crashing down with her. My wife picked her up after I threw the TV off of her leg and calmed her down in about 2-3 minutes. I had Gabby look at me and all I saw was blood on her face. She had a cut above her right eye. So we clean her up and get the bleeding stopped and take her to the ER where we sat for about 2 1/2 hrs. There they cleaned the cut out a lot better and glued it shut(thank God no stitches). All the while at the ER my wife and I are nervous wrecks over this and Gabby is just smiling and saying "Hi" and "Bye" to everyone as they come and go. She is back to normal and we are even more nervous about her daredevil antics around here.
I made a Pavlova, New Zealand's favourite pudding according to the 1987 cook book we bought from an Op Shop.
We made banana pudding from scratch for dessert for the Fourth of July ... it was a little more work than making it from the box, but not much. And it was delicious. (recipe from Cook's Country)

For Julia: Look at the size of them, each weigh about 25lbs (11.3kg). There was this clothing store in Buffalo named Plum Pudding and you guessed it, one cat is named Plum and the other Pudding. Most people go in the store just to visit the cats.
