Im Gegensatz zum Haflinger, der den Motor im Heck hat, ist der Motor beim Pinzgauer oberhalb der Vorderachse angebracht. Seine Zentralrohrrahmenbauweise ermöglicht eine Vielzahl an Aufbauvarianten.

In contrast to the Haflinger, which has the engine in the rear, the engine in the Pinzgauer is mounted above the front axle. Its central tubular frame construction enables a large number of body variants.

Der Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer ist ein österreichisches Militärfahrzeug. Er wurde als Nachfolger des Steyr-Puch Haflinger entwickelt und ist ein Wagen für schwerstes Gelände, der in Ausführungen mit zwei bzw. drei zuschaltbar/angetriebenen (sperrbaren) Achsen angeboten wird.

The Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer is an Austrian military vehicle. It was developed as the successor to the Steyr-Puch Haflinger and is a wagon for the toughest terrain, which is available in versions with two or three switchable/driven (lockable) axles.
