Milano si prepara agli ultimi giorni di celebrazioni del Pride Month. In attesa del clou del Milano Pride 2023, infatti, la città sta affrontando il mese dell’orgoglio LGBTQIA+ con incontri, spettacoli e concerti.
L’apice, infatti, si toccherà tra il 22 e 24 giugno, con gli incontri di Pride Square a Porta Venezia e la parata finale, con tanto di concertone, sabato 24 giugno all’Arco della Pace di Piazza Sempione. Condotto da Marta Pizzigallo, Alessio Viola, Elena Di Cioccio, Paolo Camilli e Victoria Cabello, e diretto da Mariano Furlani, il concerto finale vedrà l’alternarsi di tanti artisti.
Tra questi Malika Ayane, Matteo Romano, Luigi Strangis, Santi Francesi, Ginevra, Big Boy, Ariete, Italy Bares, Orietta Berti, Angelina Mango, Coma_Cose, Baby K, Ethan, Kaput, MyDrama, Yosef, Evra, Blue Phelix, Osvaldo Supino, Protopapa con Drama Queer Cabaret.
Previsti inoltre fra gli ospiti Elly Schlein, Pierfrancesco Majorino, Daniele Gattano, Debora Villa, Valentina Petrillo, Stefania Rocca, Francesca Cavallo e Simone Alliva.
L’evento finale sarà trasmesso in streaming sul canale Youtube del Milano Pride per coinvolgere anche chi non ha potuto partecipare o chi è lontano. L’intero evento prevede il servizio di interpretariato in LIS.

Me published, crazy! Who would have thought.
I was shooting our local football game last Friday like I always do and at half time the sports writer for the Sun Herald came down and told me that the regular photographer had been in a car wreck and her replacement ended up being a no show so they asked if I wanted to sell them some photos so these are the photos that I sent them and they like them so much they published them all! Their regular photog came back this week though sore but in good spirits!

Un finale d’eccezione per la settima edizione del CarroPonte di Sesto San Giovanni a Milano, l’11 settembre 2016. A chiudere in bellezza l’estate 2016, sul palco dell’arena musicale sestese arriva una diva per eccellenza: Patty Pravo. L’iconica cantante veneziana fa tappa al parco ex-Breda con il suo Eccomi tour.
Un successo che non stupisce data la classe e la grinta dell’artista che – con 50 anni di carriera, oltre 120 milioni di copie vendute, numerosi riconoscimenti nazionali e internazionali – non smette di emozionare il pubblico e di mettersi in gioco, come ha dimostrato con la fortunata partecipazione al Festival di Saremo con il brano “Cieli Immensi” primo estratto dal nuovo album di inediti “Eccomi”.
“Sono felice – dice Patty Pravo – della scaletta scelta per questo tour, abbiamo selezionato i pezzi da eseguire con estrema cura, certi di dare a chi viene ai concerti due ore di buona musica, emozioni, divertimento ed empatia”. Nel programma, accanto all’ultimo successo sanremese Cieli immensi e ai brani dell’album Eccomi, non mancano le sue hit più famose, da Pazza Idea a E Dimmi che Non Vuoi Morire, passando per Unisono, Pensiero Stupendo, Il Vento e le Rose.
Sul palco con Patty Pravo una band di sei abili musicisti: Michele Lombardi alle tastiere e al piano, Lucio Fasino al basso, Andrea Fontana alla batteria, Stefano Cerisioli e Ivan Geronazzo alle chitarre, Gabriele Bolognesi ai fiati. Direttore musicale e arrangiatore del Tour il Maestro Giovanni Boscariol.
Con Patty duettano due special guest, che compaiono anche tra gli autori dell’ultimo album dell’interprete: Rachele Bastreghi cantante dei Baustelle e autrice di Ci rivedremo Poi e il cantautore Zibba che per Patty ha scritto Qualche cosa di diverso.

This photograph was published in the Illustrated Chronicle on the 4th November 1916
During the Great War the Illustrated Chronicle published photographs of soldiers and sailors from Newcastle and the North East of England, which had been in the news. The photographs were sent in by relatives and give us a glimpse into the past.
The physical collection held by Newcastle Libraries comprises bound volumes of the newspaper from 1910 to 1925. We are keen to find out more about the people in the photographs. If you recognise anyone in the images and have any stories and information to add please comment below.
Bunion cartoons created by George Martin were published in my local newspaper The Leicester Mercury.
