Pub #6 in my quest to have a beer in all the pubs in Norwich.
Never been a big fan of this pub. It's got a reasonable beer selection but the grumpy barmaid and dodgy clientele weren't to my taste.
I drank... Caledonian 3 Hops which was OK but nothing special.

Today we have caught an early bus from our holiday cottage in Portinscale to Buttermere where we have alighted for the beginning of our walk back to base. The walk takes the excellent footpath opposite the hotel along the western side of Mill Beck.
Kapakkatunnelmaa liikkeellä” (“Pub atmosphere on the go.")
40 minute pub crawl staring in Railway Square. The service began in 1995 and was only planned to run for 2 years. It proved so popular that it has continued operations each summer in Helsinki.

A view down the side of The Swan Inn, which was badly damaged by fire on 7th December 2011. The old part of the 13th century pub, which was thatched, has been extensively damaged although the new extension for the restaurant was saved apparently. Hopefully the pub will be rebuilt and reopen in the near future.
Mitchell Arms Every St/Beswick St Deepest Ancoats/Holt Town.
Tram lines currently being laid outside which may affect this historic building.
One of the last pubs left open in the once bastion of Industrial might that was Ancoats- cradle of the industrial revolution.
Unusual area is this.
Get in there before it goes like all the rest of them have.

This sign relates to the building
being the original Cock pub/Hotel in the
high street in Epping, Essex, England.
but the building now is just a series of shops,
unforunately the cock is not the original.
Communities Minister Bob Neill enjoys a pint with Kate and David Deacon the licensees of The Shoulder of Mutton.
On 6 September Bob Neill visited the pub in Kirkby Overblow to hear from local residents why they combined the local village shop with the village pub.

Some pubs capture the imagination with impressive traditional features and architecture, others just look like uninspiring bland boxes. The George at Wednesbury for me falls into the latter category; positioned in the town centre on the corner of Upper High Street and Union Street, this February 2009 photo shows a miscreant G threatening to drop away from the pub's external lettering.
Sulking around beer gardens, this shy creature is rarely noticed. Not because it's particularly good at hiding - it's got big, glaring reflective eyes - but because everyone it stalks is completely shitfaced.
