pseudo-scorpion... can you believe I found this little guy on my shower curtain? To understand how small he is, the dots around are the indentations on a piece of toilette paper.... and not to worry, he's not poisonous

You can finally see some hints of the higher mountains in this photo as by this point, the low cloud was beginning to retreat. However, without that low cloud I wouldn't have been able to get this shot. The sun was setting which was reflecting off the low cloud which was being reflected in the loch. This led to the lovely deep blues and subtle pinks you can see in this photo. I'm not normally any good at this type of shot so I'm happy with how this one has come out.
chad is helping me make some lanterns for the la superette gift fair this year. this is what they will look like, except with a battery-powered LED inside instead of a maglite shining up into it through a glass table. brainstorming happening. i'll keep you posted.
My first Pseudo HDR upload. Feels just like an output of decreased 'clarity' in lightroom.
Used-4.-2,0,1,3 exposure values created from a single RAW from lightroom. Then used Photomatix Pro.
Let me know what you think.
Spikes Junkyard Dogs is an awesome hot dog joint in RI (and nearby MA & CT). The hot dogs at this place are out of this world, like seriously.
Today I was given the challenge to try and knock off the "Big Dave's Deluxe" dog. While I could never come close to duplicating something the Junkyard Kings do so perfectly, I do believe I've made a nice alternative.
This is what an actual Big Dave's Deluxe from Spikes looks like.
This is actually a puja pandal mimicking an Egyptian pyramid. It was seen in Harishabha near Barrackpore. Built during Durga Puja 2009, it housed the image of Goddess Durga. In fact, during this festival, the whole state of West Bengal turns into a huge art gallery.
