First time I saw this ad was behind a bus I was following. Quite an attention getting ad.

We returned to the Cabana to explore the basement, warehouse and some of the finer points of the rooms and roof.
The Basement was pitch black, wet and breezy. The Warehouse was less breezy and wet but about as dark. All things considered, it was a good mix of moisture, light and breeze...
The Leer Tower. Formerly known as the Cabana and before that, the Thomas Jefferson Hotel.
Opened to the public in 1929, it has been abandoned since 1982.
The Leer Tower features a moorage mast which was designed to tie down zeppelins and balloons at the time of its completion.
Twenty floors of fun, ballrooms, flooded basements, rooftop views, executive suites, offices, and broken televisions.
It is not Tuesday, and this is not Starbucks, and I did not take this photo! (Girls at work went to Caffe Ladro, I could not go, but they took photos and brought me a coffee!).
This Tiger I is the actual Tiger I used in Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers. It's a T-34 doctored up to look like a big kitty. It's turret is way too far forward, it's too low, too small, its tracks are too narrow, the hull is too narrow, it's profile is too low... ya get the idea. :P
The guys who brought it down weren't invited to the event, they just showed up, which was also kind of irritating. It thus wasn't in any of the battles. But it was perfect eye-candy for the public!
