One of the most striking design features of the Prowler are the open, Indy-racer-style front wheels. The design of the Prowler was said to have been inspired after Chrysler engineers were given free rein to create whatever they wanted in a "hot rod" or "sportster" type vehicle.
Who is ready for a vacation in the Prowler. It appears to be a somewhat dated camper. It looks like it has all its parts including a door, windows and wheels. We will have to take a chance that it is furnished and that the propane tanks work for heat, AC and cooking. It looks like there could be a slightly leaky roof, so bring an umbrella. Who has a truck that can haul this camper?
Online research shows pictures of this camper (same colors) made in the 1970’s.

Gators don't sun on the banks much this time of year because the water temperature is high enough to do the job. So they mostly hang around with just eyes and nostrils protruding out of the water unless they are on the prowl for food or romance or territorial claim. This fairly large bull maintained a line parallel to my kayak for a good distance and I'm pretty sure he wasn't pursuing romance. On Horsepen Bayou.
I should note that this gator is in very shallow water. If he displayed that much of his body in deeper water it would be a very aggressive posture. In this case I suspect he was just showing that he wasn't concerned about my presence in the area. He was between me and a Least Bittern I was tracking and I wasn't about to challenge him for closer access. Eventually he moved away into deeper water and I got my bird shot.
A young Great Blue Heron searches the shallow waters of Horsepen Bayou for its next meal. The water in this area is deep enough for the heron to fish, but too shallow for my canoe…and I hate paddling the canoe in shallow waters. Also, not a good idea to get trapped in the shallow waters if the tide goes out. Photo taken on Horsepen Bayou.
