This thing looks really cool on my wall with my proton pack and gear etc. You have the choice to put batteries in it, or plug it in. I didn’t wanna worry about replacing batteries or leaving it on, so I chose to use the plug. The black wire was unsightly, so I spray painted it a similar color to my wall, so it’s not quite as noticeable.
This is what happens when you make stuff up on the fly. The middle spacer between the two pieces of tubing had to have a section cut out of it (using the rotary tool and a cutting head) because it would have been in the way of the piece of illustration board that covers this area of the housing.

Here are the pieces assembled and glued together.
The rough patch still visible on the top piece of tubing is where the pieces were formerly glued together on a previous build of the wands. The previous build was made out of simple cardboard, but the construction wasn't as neat as I'd have liked, so I decided to start over and build the housings from illustration board instead (I had a lot of illustration board left over from a previous build).
