Sorry for all this spam recently, but I just can’t get over owning these things. Everything you see here was literally my childhood dreams and fantasies. It took all day, but I am thrilled with how my proton pack came out. I repainted the entire thing a darker black. A mixture of flat black spray paint and chalkboard spray paint. I made my own labels to add a bit more to the pack. And luckily I did, because one of the decals ripped off when I took the masking tape off. I added fake lights and detail logos etc onto the wand and pack. I weathered the entire thing with silver paint to give it the appearance of the black paint wearing away. I put the iconic red wire on the top of the wand, using a red USB cable and some hot glue. I painted many little bits and fake screws that were just black, with a silver paint. And lastly I dirtied up the decals and some of the wire connectors. Here are the wands and cylinders painted up and drying. The grey couplings at the ends of the wand handles were used to attach everything to a piece of spare tubing that I used to hold and position the entire prop while spraying.

Here's a pile of parts cut out from the plans provided by HPROPS. All of the patterns have been printed at 75% scale, since they're going to be carried around by 3-year-olds. Even though 50% would have been a more accurate scale for their size, I wanted something that would work now, and also possibly for future Halloweens as well.
The parts will be traced onto illustration board and then cut out with an Xacto knife.
Just a note: cutting out dozens of shapes from illustration board with an Xacto knife will give you really sore fingers.
