Quick change to proposed TIF layout. As you will see, taking away the parking between the buildings and the main entrance would create a more main street feel instead of a sea of parking. Also, a park or fountain in front of the new community center would increase the hometown feel aspect and again remove some of the strip mall/sea of parking feel. Finally, some "iconic" structures marked by the orange dots (these could be a clock tower, gates, fountains, or sculptures) would again make this place more of a "town center" then a "town strip mall".
Proposed front end modification. Addition of new columns, sculpted arch + laser-cut lattice to obscure vehicle profile. Altar covering front grill (added in 2012) remains.
