A young gentleman came to us to help him make his special night even more perfect by adding flowers to a private dinner, being catered and with a live musician! Boy was she surprised. We heard afterward: SHE SAID YES! (and how could she not?)

First thing in the morning, my boss tells me, I have two secrets for you. I already knew what he was going to say because there are no secrets or gossip that I don't usually hear first, before others think they know it first...but my boss says, just to let you know, I'm putting in my two weeks today. I'm not surprised because there has been a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes at work that I've had to keep info about, and now its just like, oh, okay, well, good luck to you.
Second thing he says is that one of our staff's boyfriend is coming at 11 to propose to her. So immediatley everyone gets all excited and is like, how can we make this so awesome for her. So we literally rolled out the red carpet in the auditorium, we called our resident a/v guy to record the whole thing, I had my camera ready, the whole shabang. So the plan was, we would call her to the auditorium, and my boss, and my fellow supervisors, who were in the booth, would start his music playing, and as she walked down the red carpet, my co-worker would slowly pull open the curtain and reveal him standing their with roses and a ring.
So we're all excited, I see her through the back of the curtains where I was hiding, the music is going, and I see her at the door like, suprised, what is going on, so she starts coming down the isle, and there he is, and I'm snapping pictures, my camera man is filming, and I'm I'm hidden still behind the curtain just quietly taking pictures with my co-worker also hidden, who'd pulled the curtain.
Then...something occurs to the two of us...she's not smiling...her arms are crossed, and she is PISSED! My co-worker turns to me with this ashen look on her face, and she's like, this is not good. So I just held my camera like, oh shit, and the camera guy is like, uh, do I keep filming or...? It was soo bad, soo soo bad. So she yells at us, I see you guys there, you can come from behind the curtain, and we just like walk quickly up the isle to the booth where my boss and fellow supes are waiting, and we're all like OH MY GOD! We felt so bad.
Okay, so I totally debated, whether I should post a pic of this, but I blurred out their identities and I haven't mentioned them by name, and I'm not going to tell you the reason why this didn't work out even though we were told the reason, but this is like hours later, and I, still feel like I got punched in the gut for them. I mean, I have like 20 pictures of 'the proposal' and some footage I took beforehand of him telling my camera why he wanted to marry her. Oh man. My camera guy played back the footage, and he's like, do I delete, or what...I mean, he was planning to do this whole romantic video of them...the whole thing is just bad...so my boss goes, well, I suppose we can't do this type of thing in the future because, we just don't know, right.
Bad, bad, bad. So that's how my morning started.

Josh surprised me by getting his roommate to set this up at my apartment while we were gone to dinner. 49 things that he loved about me written on cocktail napkins from our favorite restaurant. 49 came from Song of Songs 4:9 and the 50th napkin had the verse on it - "You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart."

Sweet way to pop the question! Can even make room for the real ring (buttercream free of course).
