The ‘dream cycle’ is a lot like ‘myth cycles.’ In our ancient stories, the hero is tested in exotic landscapes, finding clues in fantastic places. The adventure allows them to uncover the truth about both, their identity and destiny. Similarly, the changing landscape and clues within a dream cycle captures the essence of why we dream. When a dream is observed to ‘morph’ into different landscapes, the dream is described: ‘it seemed like the same dream, but then it changed…’ The dream cycle usually presents the idea of transormation in three stages:a) The first shows you as ‘the hero’ facing a current life challenge.
b) The second shows the past and the part it played in creating this condition.
c) Finally, you are given a bizarre clue as to how you can transform to meet the future. This portion has unusual images that will allow you to discover your real identity and therefore, your destiny. In the first portion, you explore the conflict at hand and are given the symbolism that can help you understand it objectively. The second landscape usually portrays family members and symbolism from the past, describing how the current crisis was created. The third portion of the dream is usually the most bizarre, as the transforming aspect of the psyche pushes you beyond your static sense of self. This portion can be prophetic or when compared against future events, will portray actual information that can be validated. Dreams can be called The Mind’s Mirror because they have a special predisposition for reflecting aspects of you in a way that is puzzling or strange. The ‘newness’ or bizarre imagery of the dreamscape provides the innovative perspective that is necessary to achieve transformation. The third portion of the dream offers information about the ‘missing link’ in overcoming conflict or crisis. Understanding your dreams will make more sense to you when once you recognize how dreams have an uncanny way of breaking through the walls of consciousness. The synchronistic aspect of the final setting may simply be the result of how your unconscious mind knows what is coming, before you consciously piece the information together.
SPLENDOR of ended day, floating and filling me!
Hour prophetic—hour resuming the past!
Inflating my throat—you, divine average!
You, Earth and Life, till the last ray gleams, I sing.
Open mouth of my Soul, uttering gladness,
Eyes of my Soul, seeing perfection,
Natural life of me, faithfully praising things;
Corroborating forever the triumph of things.
Illustrious every one!
Illustrious what we name space—sphere of unnumber’d spirits;
Illustrious the mystery of motion, in all beings, even the tiniest insect;
Illustrious the attribute of speech—the senses—the body;
Illustrious the passing light! Illustrious the pale reflection on the new moon in the
western
sky!
Illustrious whatever I see, or hear, or touch, to the last.
Good in all,
In the satisfaction and aplomb of animals,
In the annual return of the seasons,
In the hilarity of youth,
In the strength and flush of manhood,
In the grandeur and exquisiteness of old age,
In the superb vistas of Death.
Wonderful to depart;
Wonderful to be here!
The heart, to jet the all-alike and innocent blood!
To breathe the air, how delicious!
To speak! to walk! to seize something by the hand!
To prepare for sleep, for bed—to look on my rose-color’d flesh;
To be conscious of my body, so satisfied, so large;
To be this incredible God I am;
To have gone forth among other Gods—these men and women I love.
Wonderful how I celebrate you and myself!
How my thoughts play subtly at the spectacles around!
How the clouds pass silently overhead!
How the earth darts on and on! and how the sun, moon, stars, dart on and on!
How the water sports and sings! (Surely it is alive!)
How the trees rise and stand up—with strong trunks—with branches and leaves!
(Surely there is something more in each of the tree—some living Soul.)
O amazement of things! even the least particle!
O spirituality of things!
O strain musical, flowing through ages and continents—now reaching me and America!
I take your strong chords—I intersperse them, and cheerfully pass them forward.
I too carol the sun, usher’d, or at noon, or, as now, setting,
I too throb to the brain and beauty of the earth, and of all the growths of the earth,
I too have felt the resistless call of myself.
As I sail’d down the Mississippi,
As I wander’d over the prairies,
As I have lived—As I have look’d through my windows, my eyes,
As I went forth in the morning—As I beheld the light breaking in the east;
As I bathed on the beach of the Eastern Sea, and again on the beach of the Western Sea;
As I roam’d the streets of inland Chicago—whatever streets I have roam’d;
Or cities, or silent woods, or peace, or even amid the sights of war;
Wherever I have been, I have charged myself with contentment and triumph.
I sing the Equalities, modern or old,
I sing the endless finales of things;
I say Nature continues—Glory continues;
I praise with electric voice;
For I do not see one imperfection in the universe;
And I do not see one cause or result lamentable at last in the universe.
O setting sun! though the time has come,
I still warble under you, if none else does, unmitigated adoration.

If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
This painting was created while worship music was being played, letting the painting develop in the 15 minute period. The Dove was added in a second setting. The painting reflects the cleansing and refreshing ministry of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life.

Master Prophet
A few photos of His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri & Shaykh Abdullah-al-Haddad in Fez.
Shaykh Abdullah is a scholar of the inward and outward sciences of Islam, and had studied formally with many of the leading scholars of his day
He is the spiritual guide of the Shadhili-Darqawi-Alawi order, having recieved his spiritual instruction from Shaykh ‘Ali al-Budaylami, who was a senior student of the great reviver of Islam in the twentieth century, Shaykh Ahmad ibn Mustafa al-‘Alawi.
Shaykh Abdullah el-Haddad has spent his entire life as an educator, a spiritual guide, caller to Allah, and reviver of the Prophetic way.
This goes with the previous post-- it's the inside bottom of the box. It was decoupage hand made in 2005. The gate was made from a magazine picture of an ornate mirror, and completely cut with tiny manicure scissors, then highlighted with gold enamel. It took a long time! As the photo was unfortunately really terrible, I had to work on this representation of it in Photoshop to make it viewable. I put it on a crackle background to mimic the sides of the box. View On Black
This depicts the spiritual experience of entering the heavenly realm through prayer and reading the Word of God. If I remember correctly, the Hebrew word at the top of the Gate is Yeshua (Jesus). To me, and the friend I made this for, the eagle represents the prophetic.
The original crackle texture was licensed, and I transformed it into black and gold:

Like the prophetic image "Ultimate Sacrifice," this image was lifted up from the prophetic painting, "Romans 10:9/Believe" by placing a paper towel over the wet canvas and lifting it up. The image that appeared on the paper towel was different than the painting. The painting showed a blue background with red horizontal swirls from top to bottom. The white images were NOT present in the "Romans 10:9/Believe" painting.
The images shows four events starting at the top:
1. Christ's Death: the Lord Jesus lying dead in the rich man's tomb.
2. The Resurrection: Jesus sits up.
3. The Linen Strips: A white circular shape represents the linen strips Peter and John found in the empty tomb.
4. Bottom White Swirl: HE IS RISEN! Death and the tomb could not hold Him! Hallelujah!!
Burial of Jesus:Matthew 27:57-60, Mark 15:42-46, Luke 23:50-53, John 19:38-41
He is risen! Matthew 28:1-10, Mark 16:1-7, Luke 24:1-12, John 20:1-10

"So we have the prophetic Word made more sure, to which you will do well to be attentive to it as to a LAMP shining in a dark place until day dawns & the morning star rises in your hearts." 2 PETER 1:19
“May it be a LIGHT to you in dark places, when all other Lights go out.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien
"When Frodo finds himself alone in the dark against the giant evil spider Shelob, he invokes the name of the star and the LIGHT repels the dark and evil monster." ~ catholicexchange.com/our-most-beloved-star/
"God gives Adam the Tzohar as a sign of hope and a promise of God’s continued presence in his life. The ultimate recipient of the light of the Silmarills is Frodo himself, who is given that light from that jewel, captured in a flask. The same notion of hope is given by Galadriel to Frodo as she gives him the flask: “In this phial is caught the light of Earendil’s star …it will shine still brighter when night is upon you. May it be a light to you in dark places, when all other lights go out.” So, in both cases, a holy jewel, containing the Light before the sun, and ultimately shining as a sign of hope." ~ hebrewcatholic.org/HistoryandCulture/Literature/thelights...

The Lakeland Center in Lakeland, Florida was packed as usual.
Prophet Bob Jones was on hand to bless the Florida Revival and Healing Outpouring and deliver a powerful prophetic word with Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire Ministries. The First Nations (Native American) people were there to welcome the revival to North America as spiritual gate-keepers of the land.

From a couple of years ago, using a holga camera, multiple shots of my body through space. They clearly got fucked up in developing, but it turned out pretty cool anyways. I enjoy carving the photographic image out of "happy accidents."
This pic is about travelling from night to day, each season of life is depicted by a different color in the rainbow. The red horse is a 'blood - sweat' horse and represents the believer. The girl is the Holy Spirit who is in control of the speed and direction of the ride. The horse trusts the rider and moves as one with her. It is only when we trust that there can be speed.

On Saturday, December 14, St. John Cantius Parish hosted its 14th annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.
The Festival, which originates in the Anglican Church, is a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir music.
At St. John Cantius, the Festival is traditionally celebrated after first Vespers of Gaudete Sunday. It is concluded with exposition and benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament, and is thus a splendid way for the participants to prepare for the coming of Christ on Christmas.
I took this yesterday evening while waiting for a couple of local flickr buddies to show up for an evening shoot. While waiting I was looking for some wide-angle shots with my 10mm-22mm lens...one of my favorites.
Well, to make a long story short, after we met up and drove across the river, and as I pulled my back-pack from my truck, I heard a loud 'thunk' as my prized 10-22 fell out of my bag and hit the concrete. It's quite a sickening sound. When I checked out the lens, I found that it would no longer zoom. I thought I had lost my newest, and most expensive lens!
Ahhhh, but, to my relief, I discovered this morning that the lens is fine! The front retainer ring that seals the front of the lens had just become mis-aligned. When I removed it and re-installed it, everything seems to be operating smoothly!
Whew........now I wish I had another beer to celebrate...^+^
Greystone Lunatic Asylum
One of the more infamous asylums in New Jersey lore is Greystone Psychiatric Park, located in Morris Plains. First conceived in1871 and known as The New Jersey State Lunatic Asylum at Morristown, the institution first opened its doors (to a mere 292 patients) on August 17, 1876.
In its day, Greystone was a landmark in progressivism. Designed by Thomas Kirkbride, the hospital advocated uncrowded conditions, fresh air, and the notion that mental patients were curable people.
One of the more famous aspects of Greystone is its notorious network of underground tunnels and rails. This system led to Greystone being built on one huge foundation --it was actually the largest continuous foundation in the United States until the Pentagon was constructed. Being that the hospital sits on over 670 acres of land, this rail system served to unite the entire complex as one contained unit.
Over time, the humane reputation of Greystone was tarnished, as overcrowding became the norm (the hospital, which was originally meant to house hundreds, once contained 7,674 patients in1953). Overcrowding was a problem almost immediately in the hospital’s history. In 1881 the attic was converted into patient living space, and in 1887, the hospital’s exercise rooms were converted into more dormitories.
One of the hospitals more famous patients was folk singer/songwriter Woody Guthrie, who spend a stint at Greystone from 1956 to 1961. Woody was suffering from Huntington’s disease, a hereditary, degenerative nervous disorder, which would eventual, prove terminal. During his stay there, Woody referred to Greystone as “Gravestone.” This sardonically humorous nickname might prove more prophetic than Woody ever could have imagined, as Greystone might well be the last monument to a dying breed of New Jersey’s gargantuan mental institutions.

New King James Version (NKJV)
The Trustworthy Prophetic Word
For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:28
New King James Version (NKJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
This fellow was a busy little monkey. Trained to play-fight with another monkey, he would also answer yes/no type questions by making motions with one of his arms.
His handler asked him if I was going to meet a beautiful Indian girl and fall in love, and the monkey wholeheartedly agreed. :-)

There is no doubt that we are living in days of destiny. The events of human history have followed their path through the centuries to bring us to where we are today. As we see violent outbreaks and protests, governments threatened and toppled, and hear of wars and rumors of wars, we need to understand that God has a prophetic plan for our day, and that His purposes will be fulfilled.
First, we must never forget that God is in control. “The Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses” (Daniel 4:32, NKJV). In the past few months we have seen the governments of Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Yemen collapse while the leaders of Syria, Iran and the Gulf Arab oil states cling to power through increasingly repressive means.
God knows what is happening now. He knows what is coming next. And He is ultimately in control of all human events. Frequently we hear reporters or commentators say things are “spinning out of control.” In truth everything remains very much in control. God is never taken by surprise when things happen.
Second, we should not be at all surprised that there will be moments when it appears that the enemy is winning. “He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown…He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels…he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain” (Daniel 11:41-45, NKJV).
The fact that God is in control does not mean that there will be no battles, or that every battle in the physical realm will be won. Daniel describes a victorious enemy in the end times who will defeat many nations and even enter into the land of Israel and set up his rule there. The enemies of Israel are strong, and they are empowered by demonic force
Finally, we must remember that each of us has a part to play. “The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits” (Daniel 11:32, NKJV). This promise is given, not in the context of calm and peace, but in the very face of the battle.
It is in times of great crisis and danger that our steadfast faith and diligent prayers are most needed. Because we have the power and promises of God, we can do great things for Him. God does not intend for us to merely be spectators as these events unfold. We do not study prophecy and Scripture just to acquire information, but rather to learn how we can and should be part of God’s plan for the end times. The days of destiny place a call upon us to join in the great spiritual battle being waged.
Dr. Mike Evans
