1984 by George Orwell. This is my favorite novel and prophetic in many ways of the privacy and technology issues we face now and in the future, Big Brother is watching. I greatly enjoyed this thought provoking theme. That being said, I am not sure I have been successful in meeting the goal of the theme. If I have not then I have still learned in the attempt. The title of this novel made it difficult for me to translate it into a macro shot. In the end I tried to create an image that expresses the general theme of the book. I may or may not have been successful in following the theme and my photo may be removed, and that's ok.
I was surprised by the amount of discussion this theme created. The very concept of themed photography means you are photographing something to do with a topic someone else has chosen. If you're not quite able to accomplish the task it doesn't mean that you're a terrible photographer, or that your image is awful, it simply means that your image is somewhat outside of the intended parameters. A large group like this has many benefits but also requires rules to keep the group on task. I have accepted that I can't always accomplish that goal and I respect the moderators decisions. I wish other people would do the same, after all, there will be a new and equally interesting theme next week.
When I made this image back in October of 2015 I had no idea it would turn out to be so prophetic! This was shot in a public pit toilet along the "Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail," Wanship, Summit County, Utah.
We seem to have a lot of Say's Phoebes here this winter. A nice little flycatcher with a burnt orange undercarriage. (In case you're wondering about the title, Phoebe was the Titan goddess of prophetic radiance. I know it's a stretch, but I struggled for an apt title this morning)

This photo has become prophetic! I made it in 2014. A copy of the first ship of the Russian fleet (data from modern history), built by Peter 1. Five years later, in 2019, at the Marine Parade in St. Petersburg on the day of the Marine Fleet, a full-size copy of this sailboat will be released in the Neva ... But the barrel on the photo is both a symbol of a change in reconstruction technologies and a hint of future events that begin with the events of this week ... «Poltava”

This gigantic frieze sculpture is inside the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia.
This panel, the conception and work of Karl Bitter, sculptor, was executed in 1895 and placed in the waiting room of Broad Street Station Philadelphia from which place it was removed to this site in January, 1933. The Spirit of Transportation is represented in triumphant procession of progress led by a little child carrying a model of an airship, a prophetic vision of a mode of transportation to come.

In Christianity, the figures widely recognised as prophets are those mentioned as such in the Old Testament and the New Testament. It is believed that prophets are chosen and called by the one God.
Prophets are people who:
- were clearly identified as prophets, either through an explicit statement or through strong contextual implication (for example, the purported authors of the books listed as major prophets and minor prophets) along with a biblical reference to the mention of them.
- as recorded, had visionary or prophetic experiences, but did not have any major or consistent prophetic calling in history.
- unnamed prophets.
- who are described in the Bible as prophets, but who are presented as either abusing this gift or as frauds.

Samuel (the left on the arch) is a figure who, in the narratives of the Hebrew Bible, plays a key role in the transition from the biblical judges to the United Kingdom of Israel under Saul, and again in the monarchy's transition from Saul to David. He is venerated as a prophet in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
Hosea (to the left of the left window) is an Old Testament prophet, the first of the 12 minor prophets; author of the Book of Hosea. The Book of the Prophet Hosea is a book that is part of the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) and the Old Testament. In the Tanakh it is placed in the section Neviim (Prophets). Written by the prophet Hosea.

Joel (to the right of the left window) is the first Old Testament prophet, who, according to legend, left behind a record of his sermons (The Book of the Prophet Joel). According to the volume of the book of Joel, he is classified as a so-called “minor” prophet. The Book of the Prophet Joel is a book that is part of the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) and the Old Testament. In the Hebrew Bible it is placed in the section Neviim (Prophets). The second book of the Twelve Minor Prophets. Written by the prophet Joel.
Amos (to the left of the Prophet Isaiah) is an Old Testament prophet, one of the twelve so-called “minor prophets.” Amos is the first prophet-writer known to us. The style of his book testifies to the integrity of his character and, despite his simple origins, his erudition and broad erudition. In his sermon, Amos defended strict monotheism and against the spread of idolatry.
Isaiah (to the left of the right window) - one of the biblical prophets, coming from a noble Jewish priestly family, was born in Jerusalem around 765 BC. e. He prophesied in Hebrew. Isaiah is notable primarily for its prophecies about the Messiah.

Das Denkmal East Side Gallery in Berlin-Friedrichshain ist eine dauerhafte Open-Air-Galerie auf dem längsten noch erhaltenen Teilstück der Berliner Mauer in der Mühlenstraße zwischen dem Berliner Ostbahnhof und der Oberbaumbrücke entlang der Spree.
Im Frühjahr 1990, nach der Öffnung der Berliner Mauer, wurde dieses Teilstück von 118 Künstlern aus 21 Ländern auf einer Länge von 1316 Metern bemalt. Die Künstler kommentierten in gut einhundert Gemälden auf der ehemals Ost-Berlin zugewandten Seite der Mauer mit den unterschiedlichsten künstlerischen Mitteln die politischen Veränderungen der Jahre 1989/90. Wegen städtebaulicher Maßnahmen ist sie mittlerweile nicht mehr durchgehend erhalten, und anstelle der Originale von damals existieren heute nur noch die im Jahr 2009 entstandenen Repliken.
Die eigentliche Grenze bildete an dieser Stelle das Kreuzberger Ufer der Spree. Die Galerie befindet sich an der so genannten Hinterlandmauer, die das Grenzgebiet nach Ost-Berlin hin abschloss. Längs dieser Grenzanlagen verlief mit der Mühlenstraße eine der Hauptausfallstraßen in Richtung Süden. Aufgrund der räumlichen Gegebenheiten waren die zuletzt üblichen Betonröhren bereits hier aufgesetzt, so dass die Hinterlandmauer in diesem Bereich untypischerweise optisch, aber etwas überhöht, der äußeren Mauer glich.
The East Side Gallery memorial in Berlin-Friedrichshain is a permanent open-air gallery on the longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall in Mühlenstrasse between Berlin Ostbahnhof and Oberbaumbrücke along the Spree.
In spring 1990, after the opening of the Berlin Wall, this section was painted by 118 artists from 21 countries over a length of 1316 meters. The artists used a wide variety of artistic means to comment on the political changes of 1989/90 in more than hundred paintings on the side of the Wall that was formerly facing East Berlin. Due to urban development measures, it is no longer fully preserved, and instead of the originals from then, only the replicas from 2009 exist today.

Two main scriptures to meditate on
Isaiah 53:1-5) Matthew 8:16,17) Yeshua bore our sins, and He bore our sicknesses and infirmities.
Pray for Ephesians 1:17 as it's the revelation of His Word that brings about personal healing, as we meditate in Ish 53:4,5) and Matt 8:16,17) and the Spirit of God reveals to us that Yeshua bore this sickness and we begin to believe His report, and we enjoy this benefit. Also if the sick condition is caused by a spirit, the spirit must be first cast out to experience healing. Always go back to the Word of God and meditate day and night in it. His Word is health to all our flesh. A prophetic word by Yeshua/Jesus Luke 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. Remember one day is as a thousand years with the LORD and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. So Yeshua speaking in a prophetic sense, will be doing cures-(healings) for 2000 years--2 days, and on the third day He will set up His throne in Jerusalem.

So amazingly quiet. I loved standing there, soaking it all in.
I just finished reading Edward Abbey's "Desert Solitaire: A Season in the Wilderness", about his two seasons as a Park Ranger here when it was a National Monument -- before paved roads in the 50s.
Some of the things he railed on in the book have come to fruition -- in that, he proved to be very prophetic.
I also didn't realize he went to college at my alma mater, the University of New Mexico.
One thing the publisher got wrong (well, with the paperback edition of the book I have anyway) is that the cover photo is actually Monument Valley. Oops. I did see later editions did feature Delicate Arch on the cover.

too easy- right? and i find it very prophetic and symbolic that the dentist drives a shiny white SUV. it appears that this used to be a tree that was cut down, carved and then painted. maybe it met a mishap and the tree surgeon suggested it be "shortened"?

It was prophetic showing a picture of Marloes yesterday, as when we arrived at Martin's Haven , we were informed the boats to Skomer weren't sailing as the winds were too strong. At least the puffins would have a rest from all that posing. We popped down the road to have a wonderful two hours all alone on Marloes beach. This beach always has special memories, as it was part of our first holiday together, before we were married forty years ago. It was a magical morning, and luckily I'd thrown in my wide angle lens . I probably enjoyed taking shots of a deserted beach more than I would following a long procession of Puffin snappers. Do you remember the first time is by Pulp.

This prophetic photograph of Adriano J. Peg, Sylvia Brown, and William "Long Shoe" Scroggins was taken by a Manigotapi High School photographer for the annual yearbook. Adriano had a crush on Sylvia, who had a crush on William. A week after William disappeared from PE class, Sylvia had a vision of him resting underwater in an alligator hole in the Manigotapi swamp. Unfortunately the swamp was large and the alligators were plenty. The only thing that was found of William Scroggins was a lone brogan shoe perched on a cypress knee deep in the swamp.
