Cover of a 32-page Yarm & Eaglescliffe Football Club match programme (£2), issued at Bedford Terrace, Billingham, in September 2023, for a Northern League fixture with Division Two rivals Bedlington Terriers. Ninety-four spectators saw Terriers win, 2-1. Shame the September typo got past the proofreader! The 2023-24 season is Yarm & Eaglescliffe's first at Step Six.
I went to a fantastically inspiring workshop over the weekend by children's book author Nina Laden. Really got my creative juices flowing - too bad I'm stuck on a relatively mundane proofreading project for the next two weeks. LOL Ah well, I will persevere!
Took this photo more than a year ago. This was in an airport on the way back from STL. Peek-a-Who (by the aforementioned Laden) was a great and comforting distraction for us on the journey.

They say that every proofreader or proof reader suffers from OCD. Do they? Jokes aside, being thorough is a fundamental condition for those who long to pursue this profession.
In addition to the high degree of attention to detail, liking reading
should also be part of the package. But liking alone is not enough – you must
love it. Unconditionally. After all, your days of proofreading texts could
alternate between so many topics: vampires, zombies (that’s right, it happened
to me. Dealing with the topic, I mean), chemical formulas, maps, cake recipes,
sadomasochistic millionaires and there’s no way for you to escape!
