These coins are from the US Mint and are the 2010 silver proof set. The half dollar, quarters and dime (not shown) are made from 90% silver and 10% copper. Also included in the set but not shown here are a $1 coin, a nickel and 4 Presidential dollar coins. All coins are proof quality.
I've been buying at least one silver set since the state quarter program started in 1999 and will continue to do so. Though the sets are quite nice, IMO they don't measure up to the Canadian equivalent sets but I have to point out they don't cost anywhere near as much either.

Spring Arrives at Last on Constitution Plaza
On my work this morning, as I hustled across Constitution Plaza in Hartford, Connecticut, I spotted this blossom in one of the concrete planters. I'm exhausted by this past winter; the Region has had more snow than in human memory and the cold, damp and gray seemed to go on without end. Perhaps I'm being narcissistic, but I'd like to think it's my sunny disposition that's finally brought the flowers. B{)}
The white structure on the right is the base of one of the Wire Form Angels from the last Holiday season. Here we are in April, and we still have the decorations up.
