08/17/09. I felt uninspired about my pictures today. Then I boosted the shadows on this picture and I felt inspired.

Reggae-rock-jamband Elementree Livity Project brought down the house with a headlining set that included a couple special guests at the inaugural Super Jam held at Tori's Station in Fairfield, Ohio.

I am stuck on a road that friends have passed through long ago, the kiddie route. Lost and clueless with the years gaining more momentum year after year. The stepping stones of adulthood have alluded me still; despite that, this is the year, which all of that changes. The car, the job, the degree, all of them, are not too off into the distance, if I just take the first steps forward to change my ways.
The Heidelberg Project was created by Tyree Guyton, and Tim Burke has his home and workspace (The Detroit Industrial Gallery on Heidelberg Street) within The Heidelberg Project as well. Many of the works in this set are created by Tim Burke, others by Tyree Guyton.
The work is characterized by recurring themes; God, war, popular culture and mnemonic 'trigger' references to childhood, religion (specifically, crosses), ironic juxtapositions, patriotic icons, and puns. The humor and double entendres abound, making this both a thoughtful and fun place to visit.

School project to create a Garbage Monster from our trash. This was actually all from our recycle bin. Avary had some great ideas and loved decorating her monster. I was in charge of the hot gluing.
John Maeda is a computer programmer turned designer who has made art and graphics of all forms, ranging from computer programming to computer drawing to installation and interaction.

exTexAnn (formerly Desert Rose) and I met for lunch downtown and then went on a photo shoot. The assignment seemed daunting as it required boldness and more than a little chuztpah but once we explained the assignment, everyone, as in every single person, was more than happy to pose. I did have to ask people to hold off on giving their names until we took their photo because once the hand was extended and the name given...well...strangers no more.
BTW...this photo was taken today not yesterday as the EXIF indicates. Also, this photo was not cropped.
