The New Season will hopefully be good

Shot on iPhone 6.

The beauty of a 215 project is that it becomes a back up for the 365 shot you don't use.

Project 365 07/12/2017: This cat mint plant originated from our backyard neighbor and it's quite aggressive taking over real-estate. They keep coming back despite being pulled off from the root.

I sewed up a little knitting project bag out of some spare material that I had laying around. It ended up quite colourful.

The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in Cornwall, England. Inside the two biomes are plants that are collected from many diverse climates and environments. The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, located 2 km (1.2 mi) from the town of St Blazey and 5 km (3 mi) from the larger town of St Austell, Cornwall.

The complex is dominated by two huge enclosures consisting of adjoining domes that house thousands of plant species, and each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The biomes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The largest of the two biomes simulates a Rainforest environment and the second, a Mediterranean environment. The attraction also has an outside botanical garden which is home to many plants and wildlife native to Cornwall and the UK in general; it also has many plants that provide an important and interesting backstory, for example, those with a prehistoric heritage.

Acertijos en la oscuridad

Riddles in the dark

This was my first project coming back to SL. I wanted a new build to put into my scene rezzer, and this little gem was born. Inspired by the ocean and fresh botanicals, the house combines elements of both.

Il mistero di quella parte di città

che scende ripida verso i cantieri,

ora che non ci sono più cantieri

ma solo qualche scafo imbalsamato

e palazzoni popolari in declivio

che si accendono ai tramonti d'ottobre

non potrò salire le scale

per ascoltare di là dalle porte

le donne e i bambini sbadigliare

e i raggi dell'ultimo sole

Oscar Schmidt mandolin. From Pamella's kitchen wall.

Normally I visit the Eden Project during dull weather, as that is better for the macro-type photos I usually take there. On this occasion though I wanted to see the Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibit being hosted until 3rd September. I was amazed how blue the biomes appeared, reflecting the blue sky. Normally they are white when I visit, reflecting the cloud :-).

I was hoping ot get out for a landscape shot, but the weather had other ideas

the project was to shoot each individual picture so that when printing a contact sheet, it makes one full image. so each of the rectangles are an individual picture.

Day 1 of project 365, a photo a day. Photo taken on the 1st of January 2014

After struggling for things during the miserable weather I snapped this photo of this glitterball hanging on the christmas tree roughly at 10:30pm!

This is a continuation of the current project of an Image a day.

The Nikonos Project and Hawaii Darkroom Workshop. Two days of shooting, developing, and printing.

A mix of prints and scans.

Most probably one of my last uploads before BrickCon sadly.

:/

But this is a sneak peek for the diorama that I'll be bringing to BrickCon in October.

I won't be releasing more pictures until after the Con, so you'll get to see it if you come to BrickCon.

'Your Host'

Done. Finished. Expired.

I never thought that shooting 50 photographs over 50 days with a fixed focal length could be so challenging. I think the main stress is trying to find something interesting to capture, You work a full day, you get home, you sort your home life out, then make a photo. It's tough, try it.

Looking back through the 50, maybe i chose the wrong time of year to shoot. It's been grey, raining, dull and cold, Summer photos are always eye candy, It's easier to shoot with the amazing light and we are all way more active in summer, making our lives look more interesting.... I guess that leads me to say it's made hibernating fly by!

My final note: I want to thank anyone who has taken time to view/comment/favourite these photo's and follow me.

A crazy thanks go to those who were the subject.

Signing off.

ODC ... begins with P ...

Before the second half of the 18th Century it was common to bury the dead in or around churches. Since 1778 the buriel grounds were placed outside the cities for hygenic reasons. A very innovative idea for that time !

In 1616 Maria van Nassau, princess of The Netherlands was entombed in the St. Lambertus Church in Buren.
