I want to start writing something about every photo in this 365 project, although it may be only four words so...
I was going back home after work. These days is always dark when I get home tired and is difficult to take some shoots; same streets, same places, same town, tired...
I try to change my route to go home. Today a used another street and saw this window. I simply like it and shoot it. It has nothing different or important, but I liked the frame.
The remains of a forgotten restoration project perhaps?
A little detail from one of the many fascinating exhibits at the Tokomaru Steam Museum near Palmerston North.

A problematic project because how does one choose?
I adore all the regions of these Fairelands and will post about 5-6 photos in the next day (before the Fairelands fade back) to showcase those worlds that spoke so very clearly to me for various reasons. My clear favorite will close out this series.
Thank you, amazing Worldbuilders, thank you.
Shown here: The Golden Hour, Worldbuilder Elizabeth Tinsley. All parts of this region are lovely. I am especially drawn to the crystal cave, and the gem-stoned beach where the Memorials were held.
A simple collage of all the pics from my Project 52 photo a week challenge.

Project 365 08/25/2017: I'm not sure exactly what species this is but it's a bottle-brush shaped weed of some sort growing all over our planter.
After a lengthy wait for the stainless Allen bolts the engine is finally finished. Now I can start work on the frame.
A broken metal serving spoon brought me to these automotive ruins yesterday.
A few months ago the spoon gave up the ghost when the head separated from the handle. It was poorly welded.
Because it was such an effective tool, I had to have it repaired. Miraculously, there's a welder here who will take on any projects, no matter how small.
While the welder restored my spoon to working order, I toured the huge wild garden at the back of his lot. I came across this project car on my return to his shop.

Germany - Lubeck: A Country Cottage, by the River Trave, from St. Petri zu Lubeck
From the 50 metre high lookout platform on the spire of the Peterkirche, which can be reached with a lift, you can look directly on to the market and over the city.
The Trave (IPA: [ˈtʁaːvə]) is a river of Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany. It is approximately 124 kilometres long, running from its source near the village of Gießelrade in Ostholstein to Travemünde where it flows into the Baltic Sea. It passes through Bad Segeberg, Bad Oldesloe, and Lübeck, where it is linked to the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. It is navigable for sea-going vessels from the Baltic to the Lübeck ports. The road from Lübeck to Travemünde goes through Herren Tunnel, which is a toll tunnel underneath the Trave.
I've been getting huge inspiration on low light photography these days. I see it on books, some flickr photos, magazines, posters and so on. So I decided to challenge myself and start a project. This is my first attempt and I'm quite motivated with the results.
update: This is all natural light btw, from a window with orange coverings. Next time maybe I might try wireless flash.
THE UNDERBELLY PROJECT
NEW YORK CITY 2010
www.underbellyfilm.net/UNDERBELLYFILM/Home.html
Starting in 2009, 103 artists were secretly escorted into the space to create works of art, encompassing installations, paintings, aerosol, murals and more. Each artist was given one full night to work on their piece. At the end of the project, the original entrance to the station was removed.

trying to get more in the habit of recycling. Gonna make the new year as best as I can in as many ways I can.
(for the nineteen days project, 2010)
Living in New York, and having developed an appreciation for artificial horizons, i've always wanted to photograph this particular one is this particular light. i love the red bright flaming up, and the neutral white turning warm, and am happy to say that this shot turned out exactly as i'd planned it... the airplane accentuating the direction is a bonus.
tra i limiti delle soglie
dove confina la luce
un fresco sorriso di sole sussurra al silenzio che resta.

Germany - Lubeck: Burgatorbrucke.
Klughafen Canal
Klughafen Canal as seen from Kanalstra, by Burgatorbrucke.
I think that the tree on the right here is the Horse Chestnut - Aesculus hippocastanum (Hippocastanaceae) - A large deciduous tree with a massive, domed crown. For those who have travelled with me over recent months we have often seen it especially in England, with its white 'candle-like' flowers.
Well, here it goes. Day 1 of the 365 day project.
I was trying to get used to my Aiptek video/camera thingy-majig. Got to get used to the settings and it can be sort of shaky. I also gave the photo some color in photoshop. It was really washed out beforehand.

Winter can be brutal, but for some it is unbearable. Take this man for instance, who trying to go about his business on a Saturday finds that life is actually quite complicated when you cannot breathe because of the air quality.
We believe in clean air for everyone. The right to breathe is, well, right.
