...or 4, as it were.
So, apart from rent being expensive, moving itself is a costly endeavor. Especially if you have little to no furniture. I inherited a kitchen table from a coworker, but needed chairs. While finishing up the Portland trip on Sunday, I noticed four super cute kitchen chairs wiht red backs and legs outside of a used furniture store on Capitol Hill. My post-work Tuesday plans found me close to this store, so my friend and I stopped by. Nobody was there, but I could see the chairs through the window, which held a sign with a phone number. I called the number and within 10 minutes, the owner had shown up, allowed me to try all four chairs for stability, and we'd negotiated the price. About 30 minutes later, the chairs had found their way to my apartment. THey look quite cute in my eating nook, if I do say so.
Furniture win.

I'm abit behind on uploading. Days 15, 16, &17 were all taken on the right days, I just didn't edit or upload any of them.
Day 15 was my drive-home day. My mom drove me to St. Lucie to get my car, &then I drove the rest of the way. I have to say, it was pretty nice heading home, getting off the highway, &knowing I was going back to my apartment.
Muffy chilled in the backseat the whole ride, but in my mom's car &mine.

This one-day art exhibit, called the Resiliency Project, was set up in the middle of Daley Plaza today to bring attention to the plight of child sexual abuse. The chairs represent two groups of children: those with names and ribbons reflect the children with reported abuse while the chairs with no names or ribbons reflect the silent victims of child sexual abuse.
