school project

By Maddy (Once again, using the overhead projector...)

I haven't finished it yet but I'm making a cubby so I can store my laptop in a smaller bag safely. Carrying my laptop in a cumbersome suitcase has its benefits but it's become too much to handle on an every day use and having a smaller bag will be easier for me.

Also pretty much everyone at work has asked if I'm moving in or about to go on a trip at least once already. After the first time the joke was old. After the 30th time, well, you get my point.

I'll take another photograph when its done. I still have to do some lining needing to be done (which is giving me a new skill: sewing).

My Ambian is kicking in so I better get to bed.

Flame project is an international US-Cambodia collaboration expedition that seeks to understand water quality from Laos to the Vietnam Border. The team is studying the health of the river, water quality, mercury, plastic pollution, greenhouse gases (methane carbon dioxide) that are important for climate change. The project is led by Dr. Sudeep Chandra, professor of the University of Nevada Reno and member of the Wonders of the Mekong team. The FLAME project was started on 18 February 2022 by boat from Phnom Penh along Bassac River to the Vietnam border and back, and the next day from Phnom Penh along the Mekong River to the Vietnam border and back. From 20-26 February 2022 we are going upstream from Phnom Penh getting through Kampong Cham, Kratie provinces, and finishing at the Onlong Chheur Teal dolphin pools near the Lao border in Stung Treng Province.

Just wanted a shot of the structural beauty of this project. Tetrahedrons and Hexagons as Nature inspired.

Thuy had some ridiculously cute bookmarks, yes.. those are bookmarks :) On another note, I officially finished one month of this project. 11 more months to go.

Art doors around Richmond!

You can see others by searching for "Find Art Doors RVA" in the search up top. This brings recognition to a worthy cause.

I normally like to escape the office for twenty minutes or so during the day, quite often to try and get my picture of the day. I couldn't do it today as i left my wetsuit and scuba gear at home, so here's a view from my office window instead.
