Houston City Council has approved $25 million towards the rebuilding of 2100 Memorial, an affordable apartment community for seniors owned by the Houston Housing Authority. During Hurricane Harvey, the building was severely damaged, leading to many elderly tenants losing secure and affordable homes. Utilizing Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery funds, the Houston Housing Authority will replace the apartments, using sustainable design and resilient building practices to ensure the safety of residents for the long-term future.
