I was really taken with this view of the farm and fields in the foreground, with the new windmills on the ridge. This windmill project has already begun to produce energy for my small town. Built in 1838 as a temporary lodging for Great Lakes Indians. Not very successful, it closed in 1847. From 1867 to 1961 is was used as the schoolhouse for Mackinac Island.
