In order to check that the two boards and all the associated wiring would stand up to being parted, moved around and rejoined, I relocated the layout. During the disassembly, some careful tidying of the mass of sub-baseboard wiring was undertaken.

The layout was reassembled and thankfully, all was well. The new location enabled a longer view to be taken, and it's shown here compared with a similar shot when the baseboards had just been built.

…..making progress, slowly…..

I have most of the accessories for the 1/24th DIY tea room kit done. It's been a challenge! I'm struggling with the bakery counter now : ) With a few exceptions, all of this has to be assembled.

Encouraged by the arrival of the Terns (Previous photo), I set off for a walk along the path that hugs the edge of the Manawatu River's estuary - hoping that the birds were returning as the tide dropped rapidly...

It didn't take long before I stumbled across these three Pied Stilts...

Progress...!!!

Thanks so much for the very kind and encouraging comments beneath this photo...! Your support is very greatly appreciated.

Barbara and I have been busy! trimming off branches and opening up the view…

Earlier this week, I headed to London to meet with a surgeon who will be undertaking my GRS.

She confirmed that she is happy to operate on me and that the surgery will be in March / April 2022. Yes, NEXT YEAR!!

This is BIG!

If I'm honest, I'm petrified about the surgery and not looking forward to it, nor the recovery, but I realise I have to go through with it to get the results I want.

Let the countdown commence...

In the mean time, the beds need making and the ironing is calling :)

Do You like?

Well, I made some progress today. Tweeking the design as I go, naturally! I tried paper piecing, but didn't like all the bulk I was getting from the seams, so it will be fused, raw edge applique. Thinking I might swap out those three pale geese, though - waddaya think?

If you think the face of the Pendolino is looking a bit perplexed it’s due to the cover plate not being seated correctly.

Don't say civilization makes no progress - every time they find a new way to kill us or destroy the Earth.

Glad that I don't live in this place any more

lots of progress but still lots to do! I ended up using both rugs but I had to undo about 2 rows of the larger rug so it would fit on the one side

Puppetness. She's sitting on the ground through the whole animation so luckily the bottom part of her skirt won't really be visible.

Her belts and necklaces are just to be added now. Well, as are her hands and head... and accessories...

Her sleeves are more puffy than they look and they will be stuffed before the animation as well.

Her plan

In a few hours this white flower will have an intense violet color. The wonderful thing about the natural world where everything has its time.

All blocks back and sewn together. Now for a border. One block left over for the backing or maybe a cushion.

We use to look out onto open fields at the back of our house, not anymore, progress means we'll be able to look at 600 houses in our back yard.

It's shaping up, folks! Operation Bricklord: Europe at War is looking promising. This is today's progress, I've completed the bridge, and am adding little details all over the place.

This is about half/ two thirds of my contributions.

(Pardon the crappy iPhone photo)

Every month I will post a new updated picture of Stadium in progress. Until complete.

Not much time for photos today as I spent the day building our new shepherd's hut. I have to say I'm very pleased with the progress I achieved. I'm definitely looking forward to using this as my office.
