Kevin Coffey and Michelle Garnder sang a mix of familiar tunes to our mixed-age audience at the summer reading program wrap-up party on August 18th.
#1 Cochran joined efforts with Cornerstone Ministries to make the holidays brighter for children all over the world. The program, called Operation Christmas Child, is the world’s largest Christmas project. Each year, shoe boxes filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, etc. are collected and provided to children in need. Since 1993, more than 86 million shoe boxes have been delivered to children in more than 130 countries.

The Seabiscuit program took place on August 2003 at Countryside.
Seabiscuit's former jockey lives locally and he described the world of thoroughbred racing in the 1930s when Seabiscuit was the “all-star” of all time. He shared a scrapbook filled with his racing career highlights and shared many memories. The library was filled to capacity that day.

HERSHEY, Pa – Maj. Gen. Tony Carrelli, Pennsylvania’s adjutant general, was the featured speaker at the Hershey Rotary Club meeting, Nov. 6, as part of their annual Veterans Day program. Carrelli discussed the assets and missions of the Pennsylvania National Guard as well as the role of the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. As part of his Veterans Day message, he encouraged the audience to thank veterans and listen to their service stories to better understand what our nations service members do.
