Brighter Bites is a collaborative effort designed to improve access to healthy, affordable food and provide nutrition education. The University of Texas School of Public Health, KIPP Schools, the Houston Food Bank and Texas Children's Hospital have partnered to offer the 16-week program to third-grade children enrolled at KIPP Explore Academy and their parents. As you can see from the photos, those healthy kale smoothies are a hit!

Resulta paradójico que un inconformista como Schönberg fuera uno de los principales defensores de la “modernidad” de Brahms en su célebre ensayo Brahms el progresista. El amor y el respeto de Schönberg por el compositor de Hamburgo se vislumbran en el arreglo orquestal que realizó para su cuarteto con piano. El concierto de Bruch, tan popular en su tiempo que llegó a eclipsar el resto de su obra, sonará en el violín de nuestro principal artista invitado. Y como apertura, un ejemplo de la vertiente compositiva de Pedro Halffter, digno continuador de tan ilustre saga.

This picture was drawn by hand without a subject model save the owl from a picture of an owl found online. A pencil sketch was finished in ink and enlarged and duplicated at a printing company for coloring. It also served as a concert poster and advertisement of a company function.

Una verdadera fiesta con un show para los niños, globoflexia y pinta caritas, se vivió al costado de la Intendencia Regional durante el lanzamiento del Programa de Control y Prevención de la Población Canina y Felina de la región, donde organizaciones animalistas y la comunidad iquiqueña conocieron la clínica móvil que recorrerá las siete comunas de Tarapacá realizando atenciones veterinarias a perros y gatos, entre ellas, la instalación de 9 mil microchips de identificación para las mascotas.
Fifty-six incoming students at University of the Pacific helped restore a house for the Lodi chapter of Habitat for Humanity on Friday. The students volunteered as part of Pacific's MOVE program, where students learn about stewardship, the benefits of community involvement and also meet other incoming students.
