Programmed. The studio put on a student showcase toy drive to benefit needy kids. I wasn't able to be there physically, but I put together the program and was with them in spirit. It was a success with lots of toys collected; can't wait to see the video!

25 volunteers showed up for a fun evening of appreciation on Feb. 9. Volunteers gave close to 3,000 hours in 2016 and helped with completion of 30 projects and helping in the Seedling Tree Nursery.

Programming 3b is learning so much! Today they learned about Tuples and Dictionaries along with Classes and Objects. We used cookie cutters and Play-Doh to understand the Classes and Objects topic.

The Ceramics Program opened its doors for ARTS FIRST Allston on April 29. Studio staff and volunteers provided tours of the studio, opportunities for visitors to try their hand at wheel throwing and hand building animal shaped drinking vessels inspired by an upcoming exhibition at the Harvard Art Museums, and to view wheel throwing demos by Artist In Residence Seth Rainville.
I received the Excellent Educators Award.
It reads:Since Ms. Moore's retirement as a
teacher of 37 years from the Philadelphia
School District, she has been actively
involved in Relay for Life of Roxborough,
Save Darfur Coalition, and Life Unchained.
Ms. Moore serves as a volunteer at the
Andorra Branch of the Free Library where
she created a program to teach senior citizens
computer skills.
