A program that was never developed (?) and desperately needed nowadays to stop third-party/promotion offers or potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) from installing on your computer. Unless you keenly observe these installer dialogs you won't avoid install of toolbars or other unwanted programs. It's better to say less about novice users who blindly click 'Next' button and gets into trouble for not paying attention during software installations. Though there are tools available to remove installed toolbars and unwanted programs . Meet Unchecky in beta once installed runs as a service monitoring software installations you do on your computer and automatically unchecks checkboxes for third-party offers included in installer, if you try to install them by mistake it has got you covered it warns you then. You can notice Unchecky running as background service with process name 'unchecky_bg.exe' on Task Manager. It needs to run continuously to prevent adware installs , if you want to stop it launch it by clicking on its shortcut on start menu and suspend its service. Developer claims it lets you opt-out of these programs instead of opt-in, in fact he is true that's how they should be offered. "Unchehky's primary feature is automatic unchecking of unrelated offers, such as potentially unwanted programs, offers to change your homepage or your search engine. With Unchecky, these offers become opt-in instead of opt-out, i.e. they will be installed only if you explicitly choose you want them (you usually don't)." says Unchecky maker. Currently program may not support all Software installers, we're expecting developer to add for more in future. And the program gets updated automatically, so you'll be always using latest version. Unchecky is still a beta version, works from Windows XP above. Don't forget to Like & Share this video. • Whiteboards

• Props

For his speech, which is titled “Banjo versus TV,” J.R. has selected a few different types of visual aids:

• A PowerPoint presentation

• A chair

• A banjo

• A stenographer’s notebook

• And three beanbags shaped like moose

J.R. Jenks.

It all started 22 years ago with a bad choice. Back then I was married, a responsible husband and father, living in Long Island. Subsequently my ex-wife and I divorced. I moved back to Queens, stayed in touch with my children, and lived a comfortable life. Then one night I made a bad choice, and at age 45, I tried crack cocaine and fell instantly in love with it. Everybody says they can control it, but drugs can’t be controlled, they control you. I was on and off with that for the next 8 years.

I did go into treatment and spent 22 months without using, but I failed and I went back to the crack cocaine because I had no after-care or structure. I was good for a while but after that I went back to it and it seemed like I went back with a vengeance. And it led to me taking someone’s life.

I went to prison in 1995. And I spent the next 12.5 years serving. I did the crime, I took responsibility, and I knew that if I kept using drugs, as available as they are in prison, I would never get out. So I embarked on sobriety, getting back into those things I knew how to do best: work and get involved. It was all about me seeing my family at some point again.

In prison I became connected to the church and spirituality. It helped me through my darkest days in prison: the isolation, the loneliness. I started my own drug program; I became a teacher’s aide. I joined a Hispanic group and the NAACP. And I got through my fist 8.5 years without incident. I went to the parole board in 2003 and they said well you have a very good record. And I received my first 2-year hit. I was devastated but I continued to work hard. In 2005 the Board recognized my accomplishments and hit me with two more years. At that point I was 64 years old.

My final release date was January 2, 2008. On Monday morning, January 7, I went to St. Christopher’s Inn, and that was the best thing that happened to me. At the time, Project Renewal was forming their farm program at St Christopher’s. It was a great match. We went out on the farm every morning clearing away the land, cutting down trees and bush. I was 67, and I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be embarking on a new career as farmer! We worked and we participated support groups four days a week. In April the land was starting to take shape and we planted our first crops. That’s the idea of the program, get out in the fresh air, plant something and see your work come before you and see the results.

Project Renewal works because they provide a multitude of services. Not only do you become sober, you can find housing and employment. I have obtained an apartment. I get help with my rent so it is affordable. I got back in touch with Motor Vehicles; that’s pending now. I’m back in the community, and it’s all because of Project Renewal and how they integrate you with support mechanisms at all junctures. I’m back doing those things that normal people do. My daughter and grandchildren have supported me, and said, “Pop Pop we don't want to know about the past, we just want you to be here for the future.” That’s very humbling. I can lose that at the drop of a hat. I have to just keep those mechanisms in place that have kept me sober for 13 years. Yesterday’s history, tomorrow’s a mystery. It’s going to take a lot of hard work and support to continue this path. However I’m up for the challenge.

I’ll always remember this: I had taken a life, and I was given a second chance at life. And I had to do something to make amends for that. I’m embarking on that as we speak. I was offered a job at Project Renewal as a Residential Aide and I’m very excited about it. I want to give back and help guys by sharing my experience. Helping others if part of me staying sober and if I can help one person I will feel I’ve been successful.

Bangladesh,

victim of climate change. Here and there is no national and international

attention for climate change, damage and about duty. If we and world leaders

dont think about the Bangladesh,

who will? Bangladeshi students writing a letter to the President of the United

States Barack H. Obama to gift a 350ppm world. This 350feet long letter signing

starts 15-11-2009 at 11am from Bangladesh Agriculture University

Mymensingh, Vice Chancellor of the university starts the letter signing by

giving his 1st signature. Later on every professor, lecturer, students sign on

the letter. Before the signing program a rally march on the university ground

by the speech of university admin, there Vice Chancellor of the university said

that, “We very lucky and proud that this letter signing program starting from

our university on the occasion of National Agriculture day. We are part of this

world, agriculture is essential for us and for this off course need a stable climate.

We hope the decision makers will think about us to think about them also.

Thanks to the organizer to include us in this Nobel event.” After VC speech

proctor of the university request all the students and teachers to attend the

letter signing ceremony. Presenter of the program Professor Zakir Hussain

described climate issues. Director of Design Bangladesh

MD. Mahmudul Karim read out the message from 350.org by Bill McKibben. Bill

McKibben sends a message on this letter signing action to Barack H. Obama “As I

have been traveling around the world and showing pictures of the International

Day of Climate Action, none have moved people more than the photos from Bangladesh.

They demonstrate that the people who have the most to lose from global warming

have put aside their daily worries and joined in common cause with people

around the world. This is deeply inspiring, and has helped many nations move

closer to a Survival Pact for Copenhagen--one

that demands that the world's rich nations cut their own carbon emissions

steeply enough to give countries like Bangladesh

a chance.

The whole world

is grateful to the leadership that the ordinary people of Bangladesh

are providing on this issue. And it makes me especially happy, because though

I've traveled across the whole world there are very few places I've ever been

with landscapes as lovely, or people as warm, as in Bangladesh.

Thank you enormously for your hard work.” After this, Project coordinator

Shofikul Islam read out the message from Taking It Globally “Good Day Ladies

and Gentlemen,

Our world today

is undergoing massive and rapid change. People on all sides of this planet are

coming together in order to address global challenges which cannot be solved

without worldwide collaboration. The scope of Climate change demands new ways

of doing things. It is evident that the results of global warming are already

affecting many parts of the world, but what is remarkable about this time is

the climate FOR change.

Never has the

world been more ready to connect, collaborate and share. From Toronto

to Mymensingh, from Cairo to Kansas

citizens around this planet are coming together to overcome that separates us

and unite towards social good. Networks like TakingITGlobal prove that change

is coming faster than ever.

We will carry

the message that you sign here today to the most powerful individual in the

world, to the president of the United States,

but even his power is small compared to the power we have to change when we

work together on a global scale.

While there are

many gathered here today, there are countless others all over this planet who

stand here along side us in the struggle to remake the world into a more

sustainable and just reality. It is with great honor that we continue on this

journey alongside you.” This program successfully runs 11am to 5pm. After finishing at BAU the letter signing

program held on a Madrsha from 6pm

to7pm. Madrsha students and teachers signed the letter.

16November will sign school students, 17November will sign college students and

18November the ending letter signing ceremony will be held at Dhaka

University. Vice Chancellor of Dhaka

University will address the program. This letter signing program gets mass

attention and popularity. Locally this program organized by Design Bangladesh

in support of 350.org and TakingItGlobal.org

U-Haul delivery of the 50 new computers today, woohoo!

Three photos taken of many documentation photos celebrating the arrival of 50 new computer systems to our non-profit agency. May not seem like a big deal, but to an old, small agency having all the staff and all the clients in our programs get new computers is a very wonderful thing. Can you imagine three guys coordinating the delivery of all elements to switch out 50 old systems for 50 new in one day? For years, most of our systems have been mis-matched and "make-do" devices and now we have a great new day ahead.
