Promise Program 2012 is a survey of the considerable talent of artists and arts writers emerging out of Queensland’s leading arts institutions. It heralds the beginning of an essential relationship between these graduates while critically contextualizing the practices of this next generation of contemporary Queensland artists. Promise Program 2012 is curated by Bec Dean and presented in collaboration with Queensland College of Art and University of Southern Queensland.

The Nebraska National Guard hosts a delegation from the Czech Republic June 9-10, 2022, to discuss ongoing relationships between the Nebraska National Guard and the Czech Republic, and the future of the State Partnership Program. During the visit, the delegation participated in bilateral discussions on the future of the State Partnership Program – where Nebraska and the Czech Republic have been matched for nearly three decades – and a trilateral discussion with Rwanda Defence Forces (Nebraska’s other partner) on future opportunities for collaboration. While in Nebraska, the delegation met with Governor Pete Ricketts, toured the State Capitol and received honorary state citizenship. The delegation also traveled by CH-47 Chinook helicopter to tour multiple Nebraska National Guard training locations. The tour included the Camp Ashland Training Site and the Greenlief Training Site near Hastings, where they had the opportunity to attempt the U.S. Army’s new weapons qualification. The overall goal of the engagement was to build stronger relationships between leaders of the two partners, and to establish expectations for the future of the program. Coimbra a Brincar no Museu Municipal (Edifício Chiado)
Álbum com 60 fotografias de mais uma das iniciativas constantes do programa da edição de 2015 de “Coimbra a Brincar”.
Com adereços criados pelos participantes, o público escolar e geral foi convidado a tirar “selfies genuínas” e outras “assistidas” nas instalações do Museu Municipal.
Registámos algumas dessas tomas fotográficas, também dos ensaios preparatórios da iniciativa, estes a cargo da divertida equipa que trabalha no emblemático Edifício Chiado.
Já sabe: o Museu Municipal espera por si, para visitar o importante espólio exposto, com a certeza de ser acolhido por uma equipa onde predomina a alegria e a boa disposição.

COIMBRA A BRINCAR | O DETALHE
A Associação de Paralisia Cerebral de Coimbra (APCC), entidade promotora da iniciativa Coimbra a Brincar 2015, assinala, pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, o Dia Internacional do Brincar, a 28 de Maio. Este dia foi criado na 8.ª Conferência Internacional de Ludotecas, em Tóquio, no ano de 1999, por iniciativa da presidente da Internacional Toy Library (ITLA), Freda Kim, sendo hoje celebrado em todos os continentes.
A iniciativa Coimbra a Brincar 2015 teve início no dia 26. A 27, a Praça 8 de Maio foi palco de muitas brincadeiras, registadas neste álbum.
Comemorar o Dia Internacional do Brincar é uma oportunidade para honrarmos o brincar, especialmente no ano em que a APCC comemora 40 anos de existência. Esta data relevante para as crianças de todo o mundo está a ser celebrada na cidade, contando com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Coimbra e de diversas entidades privadas e serviços públicos.
As 150 atividades programadas para estes três dias são de natureza pedagógica e lúdica e têm uma forte componente artística e urbana, pretendendo sensibilizar a população para a importância do brincar. Com esta iniciativa, a APCC lembra que brincar é uma fonte de prazer, alegria e aprendizagem essencial ao desenvolvimento, assim como à saúde física e mental.
