RCR Supports University Program with Car, Hauler
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --Richard Childress joined students, faculty and staff from Winston-Salem State University’s motorsports management program to receive a special thank you from the school for the race car and
hauler RCR is providing to the university.
“We were pleased to be able to say ‘thank you’ and to recognize Richard Childress and the staff at RCR for all of their support,” said Dr. Travis Teague, coordinator of the Motorsports Management Program. “This donation is a major step in our vision of having a race car for our educational purposes as well as being able to utilize it as a great marketing piece for the entire university.”
RCR donated the car to the university and is leasing the hauler to them for $1 a year. The celebration and thank you was held October 5 at the RCR Museum parking lot.
