Gratitude Dinner & Manny Jefferson Gratitude Awards
Victory Programs’ Gratitude Dinner was born in 1975 out of an impromptu gathering of a small group of men living at our first program, Victory House, in the South End. With nowhere to go on Thanksgiving, the men cooked together and shared stories of gratitude over a warm meal. That small gathering has since grown into an annual dinner that today hosts more than 300 guests from the Victory Programs’ family, including current and past clients, residents, staff, board, friends, and supporters. The dinner provides an opportunity to reflect on the things in our lives for which we are grateful: family, friends, shelter, community, and health.
42nd Annual Gratitude Dinner
On Tuesday, March 21, Victory Programs hosted its 42nd annual Gratitude Dinner at Venezia in Boston. This incredible yearly event brings together Victory Programs’ clients, staff, board members and special guests to reflect on what we are grateful for and to present the Manny Jefferson Gratitude Awards for volunteerism.
The 2017 Manny Jefferson Gratitude Awards for excellence in volunteerism were awarded to Greig Cranna, a long time friend the agency who has donated his time and talents as a professional photographer to create stunning images of women and children in our family shelters for Mother’s Day year after year and Reverend Judy Mannheim, who has spent decades serving the members of our Boston Living Center with support and spiritual guidance.
The highlight of this incredible evening is always our Messages of Gratitude delivered by clients from many of our programs. This is a wonderful opportunity for staff, guests and other clients to hear the stories of the people we serve.

Newly arrived. Fuggin' chrome lol! Steel's just fine to shoot. But chrome's so unpredictable. I should have shot it on black.
Did I mention I hate shooting chrome? ;)

Just a rough first idea... the range of kids targeted will be 5 - 12.
Looking for feedback, suggestions, etc...
