Carefully chaperoned by their mentor and coach, Bobby Butend, these young trainee string smokers are potentially the future of British excellence in this fast growing sport. When this becomes an Olympic event it’ll be gold, gold, gold.

Food Distribution Program at Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, Nov. 6, 2018.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service’s (FNS) Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) provides USDA Foods to income-eligible households living on Indian reservations and to Native American households residing in designated areas near reservations or in Oklahoma. USDA distributes both food and administrative funds to participating Indian Tribal Organizations and State agencies to operate FDPIR. These Indian Tribal Organizations and State agencies determine applicant eligibility, distribute the foods, and provide nutrition education to recipients.

The Urban Art Program collaborated with United Photo Industries to curate the outdoor exhibition, "New York (Outer Borough) Stories," a series of images captured by New York City-based artists residing in the four "outer" boroughs- the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. Presented along Gouveneur Lane between Water Street and Front Street and Water Street between Pine Street and Maiden Lane, the exhibition aims to provide the visitor a rare window into the soul of New York and to celebrate what makes it tick. The installation is part of the City’s efforts to revitalize and activate Water Street in response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Sandy on Lower Manhattan, and will be on display for the next few months.
In creating this exhibition, one photographer from each of the four outer boroughs was invited to collaborate with a locally-based curator to share a story about his/her own community. The selected photographers come from different social and cultural backgrounds, grew up in different neighborhoods and at different times, yet all share an affinity for their city. New York (outer borough) Stories is more than an exhibition of photographs; it is a celebration of New York, of its unique mix and diversity of people, and of the pride that defines and unites them all.
The ten art display cases will host rotating exhibitions that will move to plazas throughout the five boroughs. DOT will partner with institutions and individual artists to curate the cases. The first set of ten cases was exhibited at Willoughby Plaza in Brooklyn and is currently located at 71st Avenue Plaza in Queens. The structure was designed by the Architecture Research Office, an award-winning architecture and urban design firm based in New York City, and fabricated by Goetz Composites, a leader in custom composite construction based in Rhode Island.

The Canon AE-1 is a 35 mm single-lens reflex film camera for use with interchangeable lenses. It was manufactured by Canon Camera K. K. in Japan from April 1976 to 1984. It uses an electronically controlled, electromagnet horizontal cloth focal plane shutter, with a speed range of 2 to 1/1000 second plus Bulb and flash X-sync of 1/60 second. The camera body is 87 mm tall, 141 mm wide, and 48 mm deep; it weighs 590 g. Most are black with chrome trim, but some are all black.
We start with basic elements in this book and then leverage the capabilities of PHP5 during the multimedia programming course in Tipperary Institute.
From the outboard camera under the left wing, a look to the north as Commander Val departs west in the Civvie Prototype for a short mission to test a new science instrument.
I have to admit that I stole that line from Cyko9, it's genius. Also, I feel like I've unintentionally started a theme week of translucent figures--so I'm gonna just roll with it! Transparent figures 'till Christmas, yeah!

The Fall 2010 Student Hackathon brought in hundreds of students from 30 universities to NYU's Courant Institute for 24 hours of creative hacking on New York City startups' APIs.
Selected startups presented their technologies at the beginning of the event, and students formed groups to brainstorm and begin coding on their ideas. Many students worked into the night, foregoing sleep to fulfill their visions.
On Sunday afternoon students presented their projects to an audience including a judging panel, which selected the final winners.
hackNY hosts hackathons one each semester, as well as a Summer Fellows Program, which pairs quantitative and computational students with startups which can demonstrate a strong mentoring environment, a problem for a student to work on, a person to mentor them, and a place for them to work. Startups selected to host a student are expected to compensate student Fellows. Students enjoy free housing together and a pedagogical lecture series to introduce them to the ins and outs of joining and founding a startup.

Chibunga celebra hoy 4 de agosto 28 años de parroquialización, los ciudadanos no van a poder disfrutar de este día con el baile popular que siempre se ha programado por parte de las autoridades del Gobierno Parroquial por respeto a las víctimas caídas tras el terremoto del pasado 16 de abril dijo Guillermo Ávila Rosales, presidente del GAD parroquial.
Lo que sí habrá es la presentación de la caravana cultural del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal de Chone a las 9:00, y la sesión solemne conmemorativa por el Vigésimo Séptimo Aniversario a las 10:00 con la participación de las autoridades del cantón encabezadas por el Alcalde Deyton Alcívar Alcívar, y representantes de la provincia de Manabí.
El presidente del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Parroquial de Chibunga, Guillermo Ávila Rosales indicó que durante estos días se han estado celebrando una serie de actos sociales, culturales y deportivos, sin bailes, contándose con la participación de las instituciones públicas y privadas que hay en la parroquia, y que los habitantes han podido disfrutar de cada uno de los eventos y eso ha demostrado de la unión que existe a pesar de estar de luto dijo.

The Canadian Army celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the Bold Eagle program, a tailored partnership program that helps Aboriginal youth from across western Canada.
The idea of the program was conceived in 1989 by representatives of the Prince Albert Tribal Council (now the Prince Albert Grand Council) and the Canadian Armed Forces with the idea to encourage Aboriginal youth to seek employment and discipline. Following discussions and negotiation with the Canadian Armed Forces, the first Canadian Army sponsored Bold Eagle program was conducted in 1990.
Bold Eagle is a partnership between the Department of National Defence and First Nations organizations from across Western Canada, such as the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations (FSIN) and the Aboriginal Veterans Society of Alberta, and is sponsored and managed by the Canadian Army.
