A successful program that provides lower-income families, pregnant women and seniors with coupons for locally produced food is receiving an additional $2 million investment,
The Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program runs from July through October 2013 and is administered by the BC Association of Farmers' Markets. The program offers $15 worth of coupons each week to individuals and families enrolled in the nutrition and skills building programs offered by community agencies associated with each participating market.

In Cambodia, YSEALI members and volunteers worked to build a community garden at Tonloeub Primary School, plant 1,000 trees along a roadway, repair a commune municipal building, and run a seminar on job opportunities for high school students in Sar Sar Sdam.
"This shows the power of YSEALI, and what we can do if we work together," said Heng Sokgech, a YOUnified project coordinator and a YSEALI Professional Fellow alumna.
The YOUnified youth community projects, which were held at 100 sites across Southeast Asia, celebrated the third anniversary of the YSEALI program.

That wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be.
I've gotten all the seasons up and running, you can interact with them and move the camera around, you can't zoom in and out yet as I was planning on doing that with a three finger move up or down (the simulator only lets you do two "fingers").
As I haven't tried this on an actual phone yet I have no idea whether it will run fast enough, but the whole point of this is mostly to give iPhone programming a go anyway.
Still lots left to do, I need to implement the main menu, handle rotations of the device properly, that sort of thing.
(Update, due to workloads on commercial projects this iPhone version has been on hold for almost two months, I'm looking forward to taking some time off and picking up development again beginning of October, release should come a couple of weeks after that if everything goes smoothly. )
The Future Soldiers Program at Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility gives selected juvenile offenders the chance for an early release pending the completion of boot-camp like military training and lifestyle. Officials in charge of the program at Pendleton are seeking to coordinate with area military recruiters to send graduates to active service upon their release.

On January 30, 2019, City of Laredo Municipal Court Judge Jesus M. Dominguez announced the First Amnesty Program allowing citizens to clear their outstanding warrant and traffic violations. Judge Dominguez is offering the amnesty program from February 19, 2019 through March 8, 2019. This includes all cases pending, capias warrants, arrest warrants, capias pro-fines, and DPS Omni warrants.
Municipal Court clerks are available to help the public with any information they may need. Individuals that would like to know the total amount of fines due before the amnesty program begins may visit the court, located at 4610 Maher Avenue. Individuals with outstanding warrants that appear for court will not be arrested. In order to qualify for this program and possibly be cleared of the outstanding debt, individuals must be prepared to pay at least half of the amount of their outstanding fine. However, final determination of the amount to be paid is on a case-by-case basis as decided by Judge Dominguez.
It is very important that the public take advantage of the amnesty program. Municipal Court does have a warrant division that issues and executes warrants on a daily basis; therefore, it is always best that individuals visit the court and take care of their outstanding cases.
Reminder to all, Municipal Court holds court sessions twice a day, morning and afternoon. Individuals that would like to take care of their outstanding cases may appear for court between 8am - 9am for the morning session, or between 12pm – 1pm for the afternoon session.

Public hospitals, colleges and universities soon will be joining K-12 schools in receiving funding for capital investments dedicated to reducing energy costs, demonstrating clean technology and lowering carbon emissions.
The current Carbon Neutral Capital Program, which provides school districts with $5 million annually, will be expanded by the Province to include health authorities and post-secondary institutions. Budget 2014 provides $14.5 million in annual funding for the expanded program.
