Castlerock's Marty Nutt enjoyed a profitable two races at Cadwell Park over the Bank Holiday weekend where he was competing in round 9 of the British Supersport Championship. The nutttravel.com/Dawn/K&G rider scored points in both of his outings and ended the weekend with one of his best rides of the season, 9th, after fighting his way strongly through the field.
Having qualified in 13th place for Sunday's 'Sprint' race, a strong start saw Marty end the first lap in 14th place and here he remained for the next two laps as he battled it out with Pauli Pekkanen and Paul Young for 12th. However, on lap 4, he made a mistake exiting Chris Curve and the subsequent excursion onto the grass dropped him back down the order to 21st. Despite the considerable time lost, Marty dug deep and put in, arguably, one of his best rides of the season as he fought his way back through the pack. By lap 7, he was up to 19th and this soon became 17th as he overhauled both David Paton and Shaun Winfield. On the tenth lap he moved back into the points in 15th and he took the chequered flag two laps later in 14th, just half a second adrift of 12th. This then became 13th as Anthony Rogers was excluded from the results following a post-race inspection.

This panel explored different investment opportunities and learnt why all foreign investors agree that Bosnia and Herzegovina is an attractive opportunity that cannot be missed. The country’s strategic geographic position, investor-friendly legal environment, favourable trade agreements, competitive tax and customs systems, low operating costs, and talented people make it a destination full of potential for profitable investments.
In his welcoming speech, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Denis Zvizdić introduced the country’s great investment potential. He was followed by Sir Suma Chakrabarti, EBRD President, who described some of the Bank’s wide-ranging activities to promote sustainable growth and innovation in the Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina aims to encourage potential and existing investors to the country, and so is at the disposal of investors at every phase of their projects; from starting a business and selecting a location, to networking with relevant institutions and stakeholders, implementing the project and expanding business.
This special session focused on specific areas in which Bosnia and Herzegovina has enormous investment potential. Boosted by planned strategic investments, these focus areas can yield high profits and generate overall economic growth. Areas of specific interest include the energy sector, metal processing and automotive industry, furniture manufacturing, food processing, the tourism industry, and IT sector.
The audience heard success stories about private sector initiatives, and how abundant resources can be turned into profitable investment projects with the potential for further growth. Specific examples include:
- Bit Alliance, an association of 58 major IT companies with more than 2800 experts.
- Olympic Centre Jahorina, host of Winter Olympic Games in 1984 and Youth Olympic Games in 2019, recognised as the most promising winter resort in the Western Balkans region.

The Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering building in Sarajevo, constructed in the 1960s, recently underwent minor repairs. Frayed wooden windows, glazed with ordinary glass, have now been replaced with new PVC double pane windows made of heat insulation glass.
Beside the external energy retrofit of the building, inside radiator valves were replaced and fitted with thermostats that will regulate heating consumption once the building is connected to the Sarajevo Heating Plants system.
This work will reduce consumption of natural gas by the boiler over the coming years, which will cutdown the city's pollution rate and improve quality of life.

George Bernard Shaw said "The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them." So, have you made your circumstances yet, or are you still looking for reasons why not to? You'll recall that in Part 1, you reflected upon a number of areas including; what you excel at, significant achievements, what you need to make you happy in a job and crucial things to enable you to achieve the work life balance that you really want. I also invited you to get some feedback from your family and friends about what they think you excel at and what limitations or excuses they've heard you use to avoid doing things or dealing with things. Well, today we are going to look at limitations, or more specifically, self-imposed limitations, in more detail. They could be excuses you've used and maybe even continue to use, perceptions or just habitual behaviours that have affected your career choices. The first thing I'd like you to do, is to think about phrases or statements that either you have used, or you've heard others use about you and have then used them yourself, or, produced behaviours or actions that have affected your career choices in some way. Examples that other people have used include: "I'm not good enough" "I can't stand up for myself" "I make assumptions about other people's perceptions of me" "I make excuses for my lack of motivation" "I am lazy" "I don't like change" Now, get ready to pause this recording for a moment or two so that you can write down your own 3 limitations - now. So, how did you get on? How easy or difficult was it to come up with your own examples? Were you honest with yourself about the excuses you've used in the past? Recognising that you've been using excuses is the first step to changing. I'd now like you to think about the cost of these limitations and the negative effects on you and your life, for example, a missed job opportunity such as a potential promotion, or even avoiding the opportunity to make a new career choice, maybe a relationship breakdown or perhaps money problems. So, get ready to pause this recording for a moment or two so that you can write down your 3 examples of where limitations have negatively impacted your life - now. What did you come up with? How different could your life have been, had you not used these limitations or excuses? How often have you considered these thoughts before, but didn't want to admit that you actually had a choice in the matter? Since becoming a therapist, I've learned about something called 'secondary gains'. One of the definitions of this term is: "An indirect benefit, usually obtained through an illness or debility. Such gains may include monetary and disability benefits, personal attention, or escape from unpleasant situations and responsibilities" So, what does this mean? Well, the focus is on the gain resulting from the behaviour. A secondary gain occurs when there is any perceived gain from behaving in a certain way. Let me give you an example. Why do smokers smoke? Everyone knows that smoking is bad for you, that it can kill you and can have an adverse affects on those around you, such as your children. But -- people still smoke -- why? Because of the secondary gain, the perceived stress relief from smoking a cigarette, the social aspect of enjoying a cigarette with your friends, the opportunity to take a break, or to gather your thoughts. We know that the nicotine is out of your body within 48 hours of stopping smoking. The nicotine is the addictive chemical. If this is the case, why do so many people return to smoking? Well, it's because of the psychological 'gains' from the habit. If you stop the habit, you stop the gain! Let's think about potential gains and the excuses you might use to maintain these gains. The Gibbon Experience in Laos is a eco tourism concept that is turning the rainforrest profitable in other ways than just chopping it down. It consists of a number of treehuts up to 50 metres abover the ground, each connected to eachoter by zip-wires. Arriva re-painted their profitable Max X93/X94 route, B9TL buses into a new version of Arriva's Sapphire branding as the Max brand was discontinued but just as Arriva repainted these 6 Volvo B9TL buses head office discontinued the Sapphire brand too.
New Microsoft style Word Art, Whitby and Scarborough Vinyl's have been put on the sides of these vehicles showing pictures of the two seaside town's, The pictures are integrated within the wording which seems to be in fashion these days.
Inside New headrests have been put onto the seats and replacing the Max word with the Sapphire word stitched into the headrests.

After TTC retired its Ford Overland Wheel Trans bus, 2 of them were donated to a non profitable organization. They were converted on food stand on wheels. The status of these 2 vehicles were unknown.
The Gibbon Experience in Laos is a eco tourism concept that is turning the rainforrest profitable in other ways than just chopping it down. It consists of a number of treehuts up to 50 metres abover the ground, each connected to eachoter by zip-wires. It's a bit pricy but most of the money goes towards the preservation of the forrest and most importantly the Gibbons that live there. The Gibbons are a very shy type of ape that is hard to spot. We spent three days up in the trees and trekked the forrest looking for them. The experience of waking up to the sound of the Gibbons calling and then putting on your harness to zip down the wires after them is simply priceless, RECOMMENDED!

An excellent example of an early C19 mill, its plan form typical of early Manchester mills, and which in its detailed layout and design demonstrates the development of industrial architecture in the relationship between function and plan. A rare surviving example of a type of construction employing heavy timber and cast iron, a system which provided load-bearing strength (well-suited to room-and-power mills in which upper floors would also be used for very heavy machinery) and slow-burn properties.
The building’s most famous occupier was AV Roe & Co, who went on to become one of the most important aircraft manufacturers in Britain. Beginning with the Triplane and Biplane, the pioneering company went on to build the Avro 504, the most prolific aircraft built during the First World War, culminating in a knighthood for AV Roe in 1929. The Manchester-based company went on to build the Lancaster during the Second World War, and the Shackleton and Vulcan during the 1950s.
Lock 83 is Grade ll listed, c1800.
The Rochdale Canal runs for 33 miles between Manchester and Sowerby Bridge in West Yorkshire. In Sowerby Bridge it connects with the Calder and Hebble Navigation. In Manchester it connects with the Ashton and Bridgewater Canals.
The canal opened through to Manchester in 1804. This made it the first trans-Pennine canal route. It remained profitable for some time but by the 20th century the tonnage being carried was in sharp decline. In 1937 the last boat made the through journey across the Pennines on the Rochdale Canal.
In 1952, the canal was closed apart from the short section between Castlefield and the Ashton Canal junction at Piccadilly. The Ashton was abandoned in 1962 and by 1965 the nine locks on the Rochdale through Manchester city centre were almost unusable. Enthusiastic supporters re-opened the Ashton in 1974 and the Rochdale Canal in Manchester was made good.
The Rochdale Canal Society was formed to promote the restoration of the canal and in the 1980s and 1990s small scale work began to re-open stretches of the canal between Todmorden and Sowerby Bridge. This involved restoring bridges and locks to navigable condition.
The most major project was the construction of the new Tuel Lane lock and tunnel in Sowerby Bridge. The lock replaced two locks in an infilled section and, with a fall of almost 20 feet, is the deepest lock on the inland waterways system. In 1996 the canal was opened to navigation once again between Sowerby Bridge and the summit level.
The canal was re-opened to navigation along its entire length in July 2002 and forms part of the South Pennine Ring.

New Zealand's first frozen meat export was sent to England on 15 February 1882. This was a turning point in New Zealand's economic and farming history, providing a profitable outlet for the country's surplus sheep by the mid-1890s, lifting the country out of economic depression. The industry grew quickly: in 1895 New Zealand exported 2.3 million sheep carcasses; in 1900, 3.3 million; and in 1910, 5.8 million. Frozen exports of lamb, butter and cheese would flourish as New Zealand established itself as 'Britain's farmyard'.
The 1882 voyage was made on the Dunedin, but it was not all plain sailing. Sparks from the engine that drove the refrigerator caught the sails alight twice. Captain Whitson had to clear out the ducts for the cold air that kept the cargo frozen as they became blocked by ice. Crew members had to pull Whitson out of the hold by a rope tied around his ankles, and resuscitate him on deck. In 1890, while en route to the United Kingdom, the Dunedin disappeared, along with the 35 on board. It's likely that the ship hit an iceberg off Cape Horn.

The pork chop was supposed to take 20 minutes, a fact the waiter warned me about. That's OK, I had no place else to be. But it took more than 30 minutes, so the waiter said we would get a free dessert. Not necessary, but as long as he was offering, I figured we'd take advantage. So we scrolled up and down the dessert menu to pick our freebie, and landed on the profiteroles.
"Profiterole" is a French word meaning "very difficult to eat". Cutting into these with the fork caused ice cream to spill out, and the chocolate sauce didn't make them any easier to break down, so we ended up with a plate full of ice-cream soup before we were done. Not a bad problem to have, in fact if you have to choose a problem, a plate of delicious sweet liquid could hardly be the worst.
But the check came, and I saw we were being charged for the dessert. An oversight, no doubt. But when I asked the waiter what happened to his offer of a free dessert, he said, "Oh, I was going to give you a piece of ice-cream cake to take home." In other words, we were now on the hook for the profiteroles. I wasn't going to make a fuss over 8 dollars, though I suppose I could have.
But if you're a waiter and you offer me a free dessert, naturally I'm going to assume that you mean something that's on the dessert menu, because as far as I'm aware, that's what your restaurant serves for dessert. Those are my dessert choices - and ice cream cake was not among them.
Really, he should have clarified his offer. How was I to know he was offering ice cream cake, unless he made that clear? And if I had known that the impending ice cream cake was free, simply put, I would not have ordered the profiteroles.
The waiter had a SECOND chance to clarify, when we placed the order for the aforementioned profiteroles. Yet he did NOTHING as we added to our bill, and didn't find it odd that we were ordering off the dessert menu when we had the free ice cream cake coming our way. That's because he did NOT explain the terms of his free offer.
Look, I know I need to lose a few pounds - did he just think I was a big fan of desserts? Dude, I just ate a double-sized pork chop and what most people would call a two-person order of polenta. Even I can't double up on desserts at that point.
Nope, he played innocent bystander and then offered us the ice cream cake to take home. I'm guessing that there was some kind of big party there the week before, or perhaps an in-house staff meeting where a Carvel cake had been served, and the management was saying, "See if you can move this ice-cream cake, it's taking up too much room in the freezer."
Well, we live in Queens, so what do you think is going to happen to that ice-cream cake when we ride home on the subway, genius? Cooler evening weather might be here, but it takes the subway platforms an extra week or so to lose that summer feel. So we can enjoy another plate of ice cream soup when we get home, great.
It's all about communication. I've gotten dessert buy-backs before, one notable restaurant thanked me for attending my 20th monthly beer dinner (in a row, mind you) with a plate of fondue for me and my guest. But if you're going to give me a P.O.S. dessert for free, please inform me of the details of your offer BEFORE I drop some more simoleans on the high-priced sweetmeats.
