Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire
Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire is an architecturally significant country house from the Elizabethan era, a leading example of the Elizabethan prodigy house. Built between 1590 and 1597 for Bess of Hardwick, it was designed by the architect Robert Smythson, an exponent of the Renaissance style. Hardwick Hall is one of the earliest examples of the English interpretation of this style, which came into fashion having slowly spread from Florence. Its arrival in Britain coincided with the period when it was no longer necessary or legal to fortify a domestic dwelling.- Wikipedia
This recently fledged juvenile Green Heron, as evidenced by the peach-fuzz feathers still prominent on its crown, proves as adept as any more mature bird as it fishes for menhaden in morning light on Horsepen Bayou.

Hey there folks!
"Prodigy" is my "return" to digital painting, after a short break while I was experimenting with other stuff. I hope the discoveries and the new ideas that I found out in my studies show through, in this new illustration.
There are certain elements that I've started developing with the tradigital pieces that I'm very excited to bring to the digital realm - things that are beyond the media, things that I can really call "mine". So, perhaps this one is a new step into news (and hopefully more exciting) worlds for me to explore
Hope you enjoy it, abraço!
Raf
This is Abby. She is a prodigy at the piano... Greg Maroney, the master looks on. We were blessed to be invited to a house concert at the home of Greg yesterday. Greg's work accompanies me quite often when I process my photography. Abby played beautifully.
According to Wikipedia - Wollaton Hall is an Elizabethan country house of the 1580s standing on a small but prominent hill in Wollaton Park, Nottingham, England. The house is now Nottingham Natural History Museum, with Nottingham Industrial Museum in the outbuildings. The surrounding parkland has a herd of deer, and is regularly used for large-scale outdoor events such as rock concerts, sporting events and festivals.
Wollaton is a classic prodigy house, "the architectural sensation of its age", though its builder was not a leading courtier and its construction stretched the resources he mainly obtained from coalmining; the original family home was at the bottom of the hill. Though much re-modelled inside, the "startlingly bold" exterior remains largely intact.
Wollaton Hall was built between 1580 and 1588 for Sir Francis Willoughby and is believed to be designed by the Elizabethan architect, Robert Smythson, who had by then completed Longleat, and was to go on to design Hardwick Hall. The general plan of Wollaton is comparable to these, and was widely adopted for other houses, but the exuberant decoration of Wollaton is distinctive, and it is possible that Willoughby played some part in creating it. The style is an advanced Elizabethan with early Jacobean elements.
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor - downsampled from ~6MP (cropped), maxed settings (w/ ultra textures); in-game photo mode, ReShade.
Can't get the depth buffer to work in ReShade 1.2. Too lazy to update. I'll just use the game's DOF then. Anyone get AO to work in later ReShades? That could get me to switch.
Also, dat power claw. :/
Something a little creepy looking for Halloween.
