Today is the longest Lunar Eclipse of the 21st Century.
I've always loved the moon. It's completely inspiring, and I often forget it's there.
Get off Instagram for a sec. Look up!
Today's lunar eclipse happens when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, and covers the Moon with its shadow.
When this happens, the Moon turns red because of bending red light around the Earth, hence the name #BloodMoon.

Trying to take the same approach as in recent portraits, ie using as few tones as possible to lay in the basic shapes. I guess traditionally this would be the underpainting. I never got it where I wanted it but I hated it less the next morning so here it is.
