Commissioned work for the release of Procreate 1.6 ipad application.
The idea here was to have an unfinished look to this piece.I figured i'd do an old school pencil drawing not completely painted over to emphasize this concept. At the same time a good opportunity to show the range of traditional styles you can achieve with the sketching Protools from 1.6

trying to teach myself to animate in procreate on the iPad, it's very very short and not very interesting but I think I have the gist of it.
I found this great building on google map street view but when I got there the facade had been repainted and there was new development advertising all over it. Fortunately the alley and around the back were more untouched.
Drawn in Procreate on the iPad. The hair was a fun challenge.

Adams River Sockeye run. They are expecting 6 milli0on fish in this small river for spawning this year. Unfortunately many of the other salmon runs are lower in numbers that they have ever been.There are several reasons for this ,including overfishing as they head to fresh water, by catch kill and in some cases , loss of spawning grounds. It was wonderful to see that this stock is still viable.
Not far from where I grew up. Used to visit as a kid with dad in his 69 Kingswood. My Nissan travels the dirt track a lot smoother these days.
