App: Procreate

This is an iPad painting, made with a beta version of iColorama, and Procreate.

It was made in honor of a dear woman, who was a mentor, advisor, comforter, and often a mother to me, throughout my life.

I worked from a photograph sent by her daughter, Tevlig Pearson, and from my heart, which is full of gratitude.

iPad/Procreate app finger painting

Painted on an iPad using Procreate. I used a custom brush for the fur work and I think it took around 2 months of infrequent work.

For Laurie Hanna Paul!

This is, once again, an iPad painting, made with a beta version of ‪#‎iColorama‬ and ‪#‎Procreate‬. This time, I had some help from Frida Kahlo's husband, Diego Rivera. His painting, and a photograph from Laurie's collection.

For my high school friends, this is Laurie Hanna.

Today I finally added this app to my mobile digital toolbox. I've read very good things about it and decided to give it a go. I also have added a Wacom Intuos Pressure Sensitive Stylus to my new toys. I'm not happy with it one bit. In fact, I have not been able to get it to synch with my iPad. After the holidays, I believe I'll return it and possibly try the Adonit Jot Stylus. This is painted with a very bottom-of-the-line stylus, not pressure-sensitized. However, I feel comfortable using it with this app.

This is an iPad painting made with a beta version of iColorama. I used some of Robert's images as sources to make this.

Wrapping up a year of daily art with my two favorite characters! I'm taking a week or two off to recharge, but I'll be back soon. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who's commented, liked, and been there along the way. It's been a blast!
