Trying out the new lasercutter at work, I made an enlarged version of an old growth form. This is cut from 6mm black acrylic - works pretty nicely as a heat mat.
This is my edited version of Belle âme.'s photo.
I did this for the Process my photo (not better, just different) Group (Week 12))
This stunning photo documents a recent changing of the guard in our laundry room. At right is the remnant of the round soap bar that is the former soap used at the laundry tub. At left is the Ivory bar that replaced it. The older bar was unsightly, causing much embarrassment when we had visitors. This change is evidence of process improvement.
Being the type of person who yearns for recognition, I have applied for an ISO 9000 certification for hand-washing in our laundry room. The ISO plaque will look good on the wall and will no doubt impress neighbors, appliance repair persons, and VIPs who drop by for photo ops.
Common sense dictates that the sequence of old to new should go from left to right, matching the reading direction of the English-speaking world. I rejected that composition because it did not look as balanced as this does. I hope that does not lessen my chances for the certification.
Facetious comments from my viewers will not be welcomed with an outpouring of gratitude.
Reworking the Tentacles piece (aka Nebulae). Should have a realtime version working soon. This one does a bunch with the pixel array for the entire frame so it runs at about 1fps.
I watched the Lion King in Spanish yesterday, so from now on my cat will be called "Seem-ba!" XD
Cross-process FTW. Or so I hear. :)
curves and desaturated a little bit in GIMP (the red was very in your face) then a "San Carmen" effect in Aviary... (the Flickr built-in editing app)

Then this 5D-data was projected to 2D-space using principal component analysis, The resulting image was rebuilt based on that reduced information.

I'm naturally strawberry blonde and last July decided to go brunette and over the months continued to go darker and then added red highlights... I finally decided I'm over it (mainly for monetary and upkeep reasons because I'm not much of a high maintainence chick). I spent almost all day at the salon I used to work at while they stripped, processed, foiled and rocked out my hair. The next time it should be fully back to it's natural state :). We just had a lot of goofy fun during the whole process so I wanted to share it.

a teaser for a project I'm currently working on, which is to candidly shoot artists in a peripheral (no faces) manner, as they create.
should my updates become somewhat syncopated and begin to lag, I apologize. this is one of 4 projects I'm assembling / working on.
