19 November 2022, Tefé, Brazil - Workers skin off Pirarucu fish it is processed inside a floating warehouse. This region is one of the main centers for the sustainable management of the Pirarucu fish (Arapaima gigas) in the Amazon region.
I thought a cross-processed-esque look would work well with these urban shots from Cuba - hopefully they add 60s/70s vibe to modern pictures,
Noticed a super bright star (Venus?), the brightest I've seen with my naked eye so I grabbed my Nikon for these shots.

Processed, filtered, or otherwise mangled version of Hokusai's Wave of Kanagawa ukiyo-e print. This variant is quite dark but if you view it at the native resolution, you'll see an outline of Hokusai's print in white dots.
This shot was taken near Thornley woodlands center in a bird hide. This cheeky fox was digging for something. When he heard my mirror slapping on the camera he looked up and I got a nice moment of him looking straight at me! Shot was taken using a Sigma 100-300mm f/4 EX lens with a 2x teleconverter making 600mm focal length (and it still wasnt enough!).
The first thing to do was to get the white balance corrected to get rid of the blue hue. Then a play around with the exposure levels and a touch of highlight recovery helped take away the brightness of the sun on the breast of the fox. A square crop was chosen too.
Playing with the Hemesh and Convex Hull by Lee Byrons library. Starting Point is the Hemesh Voronoi example. The voronoi cells are subdivided and then slices of the vertices are sent to the convex hull algorithm.
They are abviously inspired by jtnimoys awesome work for the tron movie.

Dublin docklands, through the window of a coach bound for the airport.
This is a trick photo, done in-camera. See if you can guess.
These were printed 2-up, which meant quicker printing and a bit more cutting after the fact...but it's totally worth the time saved printing. It'd be even better to do 4 (or more) at a time.

This is the first roll of film I have shot with a Nikon N70. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't seem to want to always advance the film. I don't know, yet, if I want to repair it or set it aside and/or sell it.
Since it was a new camera, I gave it some 20-year-expired slide film and had it cross-processed. I'm disappointed that I didn't have wilder color effects - I almost wonder if they might have tuned the images post-scan.
This morning we were out-and-about then headed to MexiGo for breaky at around 10:00.
Wrong! MexiGo does not open now until 11a.m as does Romeo's next door
Thus -- through the process of elimination -- only Artisan Bistro was left. They open at 7a.m.
Pricey but good.

Outline art work with Molotow black ink and paint brush along with other various sizes of Molotow markers for detail.
Really honoured and stoked to be invited by Infiniti Canada to paint my illustration work on the brand new Infiniti Q50 tomorrow to help ring in the Chinese new year at the Queen Elizabeth Plaza in Vancouver. Feb 19 - 21st.
