2.i'm walking down pearl street where i work and realize these little walks i do have been the same little walks i've been doing for years. go down the stairs from work, at the bottom, turn my head left, smile and pretend my right hand is a gun and shoot myself in the mirror while at the same time winking and making some sort of `click` sound with my tongue and check. it's some sort of 'i'm hot as hell' dance that...

Right next to Metamorphosis. In fact, taking some of Saturday morning's additions to Metamorphosis.

Ran into Dave today he said this isn't his. It was a nice piece, but its already falling down.

Look at those standing stones at the bottom right, maybe its ZODIAC doing these other pieces.

Kinda reminds me of Mr. Moore's stuff. More of my minimalist mood.

...colors the same way or not. i think all this would take great lengths of time, but glancing towards the abused alarm enlightens me that all this worldly thinking only took but a few minutes and i should get up. so i do. i make it to the bathroom where i look at myself for a few minutes; i strike super hero poses, i smile, frown, grimace, check my teeth, pop a zit, see if i\'m balding, wonder if i should get this or that pierced or get this...

allowing yourself to drift back to sleep again. i run through my head all the things i went over last time i allowed myself to be in a quiet room at night - last night when i was struggling to get to sleep after drinking too much coffee. i silently panic about bills that were now late, the money that never was there to pay for the bills, the girl that just left me with limited and weak explaination, how i have no matching white socks, why the world looked more interesting without my contacts on, if people saw,,,

Just at the start of Cherry Walk at 125th St. This pic gives the scale.

First time I put that big bent piece on as a finish the whole thing fell down. Redid it it but its completely different.

This is the THIN MAN, don't know who did it - maybe Doodad. Altho', Dave, the new guy, uses a lot of styrofoam in his studio art. On the other hand, Dave has said this foam is no good for work.

A series that concerns itself with re-birth, a 're-booting', if you will, of the force, power and beauty of life coming from apparent ending ( death ). Re-birth here can refer to any new cycle that begins after the end of another.

The visual metaphors employ black and white images of screening, blocking or limiting structures as 'death' or limitation. Life appears in colour as living plants and flowers breaking forth through, behind, beyond, around or in front of the limiting structures.

Very nice piece by el Ropo - perpendicular to the bank, having a north and south view. Well done negative volume framing

Piece of day, by invitation, at Mike's Magical Spot, right next to Rock Garden Party.

Well, I only did 2 pieces today - too much yakking with Dave and Nat.

New version of HARP and SUMOFTHEHYPOTENEUSE saw Dave, the new guy, yesterday and his aquaintance (that Dave claimed had been knocking these down a couple years ago) may be back at work - so turnover on these may increase.

More process work

...they seem to forget but they say hello to me the next time i come in. i walk a similar way from how i came; past the hat man, the hotdog man, the flower shop and rock playground, i open up the door to work, check myself in the mirror and run up the stairs. after i get my food next time, i should do the second part of the route walking backwards and see if the time i get back is the same time that i left....

The interview ran this morning on Hallmark Channel's New Morning cable show - here's the link to their web archive:

This is Great White Shark becoming Land Shark. el ROPO had landed him a couple months back from where I original constructed him and he was hanging in another piece. He's further up the bank now, lurking in ambush for the unwary jogger...yum.

A passer by helped me get this up. Very heavy.

...lion. a big one. i bet i'd meet someone up there, i'd ask them, "what are you doing?" and they'd reply, "hiking" and start walking up a different path. after a while, i'd just simply lose the path i was on, since it's really fucking dark and i'm wearing only a black hoody and i'm thinking i'm probably going to die up here, up in the mountains. people are going to find my body weeks later, the police will...

ZODIAC was working on his rock garden party. I didn't join in this week since he just put his up, but I did a smaller group a bit south - this one came out best.

Exhibition Review - Michael Joo:'Radiohalo' Blain|Southern, London till 9th April 2016.

Mr Joo's intersections are measured and transformed in moon-bright wings. - Drenched Co.

Comment: "To me, everything Michael does starts with the alchemical magic of Lunar Caustic (silver is linked to the moon). For instance, silver nitrate stains and is used to measure salt, to make mirrors and to aid analysis, all of which are connected to Michael's practice - along with ideas around cycles, processes, energy, measurement and boundaries. As with silver ions and photography, science and art intersects with magic in Michael's work and he returns time and again to all manner of divides and boundaries, to investigate the nature of objects, places and people. Fabulous!" - JayZee

So its not Art Basel Miami - you know the betacarotene pills that turn you orange like everything in CSI -Miami.

got that big brown board wedged in a split, looks like a whale breeching. In the large size , a good sense of the color and texture of this wood comes across.
