Okay, babies should all be beautiful..but one should also insure that processing matches the emotion ... yes? I need to be true to my art :)
I could have processed it so the veins in his forehead were real obvious. I didn't do that so you should congratulate me for restraint !

Achtung Baby! I was reminded of Anton Corbijn's cover design...the picture invited digital cross-processing
Then begins the long process of wiping away all that paint. By the time it gets to this point, I have a large pile of paper towels and the studio smells like mineral spirits (ventilation is important!). Here is why leaving the "crunchies" around the lines is important: in the process of wiping away all the excess, the wax will seal over the paint and bury it under a small skin of wax. This helps give it more of a "tattoo" appearance of being just under the surface.

Spent some time today dealing with the seat, helmet and reigns. I'm not satisfied with the helmet or the seat, but it's looking better with some more objects attached to the dragon.
Bought acne cream for there "facial" for like $5 at Wal-Mart and works really well.Right now it's filled up to the O and there still alot more bleaching to go.
Hammer milling. As native seed comes in from the field, it is processed in order to produce clean seed ready for spreading on restored areas. Hammer milling is the first step in the cleaning process, releasing seed from capsules and breaking apart seed clusters. Processing, storage and management of the native seed harvest is done at the Dane County Seed Shed attached to the William G. Lunney Lake Farm County Park, part of the Capital Springs Recreation Area.
I snapped a couple of pictures of the resort I'm staying at this week. These shots are a departure from my usual work because of two reasons:
1) I went with a black & white post processing.
2) A flash wasn't used for these shots (It would have been nearly useless anyway, of course).
I simply took these shots to shot my friends what kind of place this was - unfortunately, my vocabulary proved insufficient to the task. Fortunately, my camera told the story much clearer than I could.
Even though these started out as very colorful images, I really liked the black & white post processing, so that's what I'm posting.
