This shot is an old one that I have posted on Flickr, but since doing so my processing skills have come miles. The shot is now much closer to what I saw than was in the original version.

My Facebook account got flagged for policy violation and I was forced to delete all contents that show sculpture nudity on FB and Instagram. There were many photos that I had not shared elsewhere, so I took screen caps of the ones dearest to me: the snapshots I've posted during the process of hand sculpting a new generation of Inamorata body. They might not be brilliant photography, but in a world where most dolls are made with a computer, this painstaking labour of love is really special for me. So here are different stages and posing tests while sculpting. Hope you enjoy them!

My first project ~ wool to finish!

So much fun!

Finished the mitts while knitting outside in some much needed sun.

Shooting colour like it is 1877. Three monochrome images captured through red, green and blue filters. Then recombined via the additive process to create a colour image. Where the subject moved, a rainbow appears. I have deliberately used slightly imperfect colours when recombining, to try to recreate the antique feeling.

Another example of the kind of affectless photographs I take in order to get body language and proportions right for my comics.

Same photo as the one on the right with just histogram modification.

I was in Glasgow a couple of weeks ago installing ‘Thought…Process’ a show with Malin Gabriella Nordin at Good Press Gallery. I had a super short residency in their work space and made some new drawings and a single edition zine. Glasgow and Good Press treated me well and the almost foreign sounding accents made me feel like I was on holiday. Sunny, mellow, happy times. Thanks to Matt and Jess for having me.
