We needed something to hold our sign up that didn't require a lot of work with ropes (don't ask!). I saw two pieces of driftwood with holes through them on the beach and made 'em work.
That was back in '94.
They're still being used.

UTHealth students participate in a team-building activity with plastic blocks. The activity was facilitated by Stacy Crandall, Ph.D., M.P.H., R.N., from the School of Nursing and Claire Singletary, M.S., C.G.C., from the McGovern Medical School.
A team of UTHealth students participate in a team-building activity where each participant gets one short length of half pipe, and the team must work together to deliver a marble down the pipes from start point to finish.
The activity was facilitated by professors Heba Sadaka, MSN, RN, CNE and Jing Wang, PhD, MPH, RN from the UTHealth School of Nursing.
