An Imperial Probe Droid has been dispatched to defend the Conveyex - seen here near the base of one of the Conveyex support struts.
Don't see many of these around now.
John Grose tag on the plate, they must have sold it as a used car at some point as 'UR' isn't a local registration - maybe Luton?
I want to share a side project that I've been working on—images taken by a fictional space probe called WANDER, the first spacecraft to explore beyond our universe.
The "photos" that Wander takes of these strange worlds are actually creations I've made by scanning household items. This image is made from:
Planet - glass of half and half, water, food coloring
Moons - glass of coconut milk, water, food coloring
Stars - salt, tums, cinnamon, baking powder
You can follow along with Wander as it explores these mysterious worlds on Instagram at instagram.com/wanderprobe and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/wanderprobe.

This is the Parker Solar Probe that was revealed to the media March 28th and will be launched from Cape Canaveral in July or August. It's goal is to trace the flow of energy and understand the heating of the solar corona and to explore what accelerates the solar wind. DSC_3941-002
Description: Galileo Probe descending into Jupiter's Atmosphere shows heat shield separation with parachute deployed, as it "hangs on the shrouds" and samples the atmosphere of the largest planet in the solar system, a key moment in the flight of Galileo. The probe entered the sunlit side of Jupiter's atmosphere and provided the first direct sampling of the planet's atmosphere. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory had over-all management responsibility for Galileo. NASA's Ames Research Center was responsible for development of the probe. (Ref. JPL P-19180)
Galileo's descent probe was released on July 13, 1995, and began its five-month fall toward Jupiter. It slammed into the Jovian atmosphere at a speed of 170,000 kilometers per hour (106,000 mph) on December 7, 1995.

Custom model of the famous Viper probe droid better known as the imperial probe droid.
This MOC has 5 arms, which is the correct number, unlike the officiel set which has 6 arms.

True and frightening story happened
long before daylight, real scary stuff !
I'm laying in bed minding my own
business when out of nowhere an
alien appears right next to the bed.
Said alien is breathing hot air on me
while probing my body with a wet
probing object. At the same time
the alien's making deep guttural
noises while waving a fuzzy
looking flag around, this
could be the end ;-0-
Next thing that happens, an angel
starts whispering things in my ear.
Holy Moly aliens are trying to pull
me one way while an angel pulls
me back to earth, then I wake up.
Wow, that was a close call !
Pumpkin Pie is jumping around like
a tree frog on a hot rock while
no# 1 wife is tickling my ear.
See what I have to put up with ! ;-)
Well at this point I jump up an let
Pumpkin Pie outside then jump
back in bed for some revenge.
By 6:08AM we are landing in the m/c field.
Dogs are set free and off they go stopping
at every twig an tree to pee then racing
in a forward motion to the next target.
OK, now we'll discuss this photo ---
Ms Pumpkin Pie the Princess is grazing
on the long juicy, tender blades of grass.
This's a high berm with the river on the other side.
The dogs love to graze here just like milk cows.
An hour or so later we arrive back at base camp.
All the dogs are fed an soon after they are in bed.
Thank you for your support, greatly appreciated ;-)
Thank You.

...Like "what would the alien probe for a LEGO minifig look like?"
I had received some suggestions on building a vignette using a LEGO theme and/or one with aliens. Here's what came to mind (I went with the "Alien Conquest" theme, but using a 'classic' alien)
Build 42 of 52 in my "8x8x52" vignette series.
