This was so labor intensive, having to put every word together, letter by letter, by hand......printing one page at a time......and on top of it all, the letters were backwards.

i've been doing a few linocuts lately- inspired by my new french book. :)

This is my entry for the Rebrick "Modular Buildings Anniversary Contest".

Check it out here ;)

"LEGO has included many printed tiles&decorations in their sets in the past. These tiles represent money, pictures, newspapers, etc. But where do they come from? Of course, from the printing office. There isn't a single printing office in LEGO City or in the Modular Buildings line, so I've decided to build one. There is a printing machine, drawer, table, and some shelves in it. I've included it in the first floor of the Brick Bank, because there is a huge open space which I think is too empty."

Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum is the 3rd largest cultural history museum in Norway and was founded in 1909. The location around the ruins of King Sverre’s castle was utilized from 1914 on, and today the area spans more than 70 acres.

Let's make a prequel to the sequel, and then an equel.

There's no such thing as equel!

Not? Let's make one!

That doesn't even make sense!

Who cares? this is StarWars, the people will love it!

I had this idea when DigiNik13 posted a star wars inspired pic and I thought by myself - took you 40 years to come up with this picture? Wait, they made a second film, didn't they? I admit that I've lost count with all those sequels, prequels and semiquels.

Just me at work printing some banners.

Now that December has begun, work is getting quiet.

Flemish artist, Willem Vermandere, at work in his studio. He is standing at his printing press, and we were discussing the process. A large roller is rolled in ink and then rolled over the woodcut. Then the paper is placed on the woodcut, and the press moves over it, applying the ink to the paper. Printing is a physically demanding activity and requires a lot of skill. You need to get just the right amount of ink on the paper to create a perfect print.

In recent years he has been prolific in graphic arts and produced several series. His woodcuts are popular with collectors, and his exhibitions have been very successful. Willem works intuitively. His art pours out of him, and his images are filled with inner energy and emotion.

Heat bed press printing today.

Starting out with some shapes cut from paper, these pebbles were created by using pigments suspended in water, transferred onto fabric, and then another pressing to add the sketchy over drawing.

Materials used were pigments, black-out fabric and heat.

It is printing PLA at 300mm/s and 0.02mm layer resolution. It will be done in 21 hours. I'll post photos of the results tomorrow.

Yes, I'm still cutting molds, and injecting ABS in the shop, but I wanted something that could make parts at a larger size than my 2.5" x 2.5" injection molds can deliver.

I printed with a printing block using green ink and then added the picture on top. I've then added hand embroidery and coloured some of the hearts in with felt pen and watercolour

Wall and sidewalk of a building advertising “digital printing.”

Sometimes I wonder what people must think if they happen to notice me making street photographs. Take this image for example. I was walking with some sense of purpose back towards the 4th and Townsend Caltrain station, where I would pick up a train heading back down the peninsula following a morning of photography in San Francisco. In a location where most people are similarly focused on getting from point A to point B, usually with heads down, I suddenly stopped, stepped off the sidewalk... and photographed the wall of a nondescript building.

This photograph may be the urban equivalent of the "intimate landscape" image — I certainly think of photographs like this as being landscapes, and this one zeroes in on a very small area of a subject that folks overlook. Being a photographer who prints digitally, the "digital printing" sign had caught my eye when I passed by here a few hours earlier. Now I saw the soft light on the scene, the weathered quality of the wall, the geometry of the subject, and the relationship between the blue bar at the top and the blue quality of the light on the sidewalk.

Dr. Elliot McGucken's Hero's Odyssey Fine Art Landscape Photography! The breaking Malibu mist was epic!

Hero's Odyssey Fine Art Landscape & Nature Photography for Los Angeles Gallery Show !

Will be busy printing and framing in nice large, matted formats and frames and museum glass! Five of these photos will be printed on 40" x 60" floating wall mounted metal sheets! I think I know which--will share photos of the photos hanging on the walls!

And I am mounting some on plexiglass/acryllic--front mounting them! Some I am printing on lossy fuji-crystal archival paper too, and then front mounting 40"x60" versions to plexiglass--will send photos!

The secret to HDR photography is that you want people to say, "Woe dude--that's unreal!" And not, "Dude--that's not real!" "Unreal" is the word they use when they're trying to figure out the photo--what makes it cool--is it a photo? Is it painted? How'd it come to be--how'd you bend the light that way? "That's not real," is what they say if you have the saturation/HDR/ etc. turned up too high. :)

Some (almost) final edits for my Los Angeles Gallery Show! Here's how I do it:

Print: Fuji Crystal Lightjet Metallic front-mounted to 1/4" Acrylic.

Acrylic: 1/4" with regular polished edge

Backing: White aluminum 3mm

Hanging Mechanism: Silver aluminum float box

I'll be using the top-of-the-line, museum-quality gallery format consists of the highest-quality prints on Fujicolor Crystal Archival Paper, front-mounted to UV-resistant protective acrylic, backed by a solid aluminum sheet, and fastened to an aluminum silver frame "float box" for mounting on the wall.

Wish you all could come (and hang out with the goddesses)!

All the best on your Epic Hero's Odyssey from Johny Ranger McCoy!

So, I made this in Tinkercad which is a website where you design stuff for 3D printing. I made this for those who want to make portal guns and don't want to damage existing lego parts to make it. If you want to download this file for 3D printing, go here:

www.thingiverse.com/thing:2539672

If you don't have access to a 3D printer, you can use 3rd party websites to print it for you. A good 3D printing service is Shapeways. Though it can be a bit overpriced since it is 3D printing and the shipping can be a bit pricey. I checked and the price of the portal gun is $1.62, so it's not that bad of a price. Anyways, is they're any accessories you want me to make? Like baterangs, guns, etc. Let me know!

Forgot to include this but if you are 3D printing this yourself, make sure you add supports and rafts and also set the resolution to 0.1 MM for the best results.

Pulling a print up from the block after a final run through the press!

2 blocks total...13" x 25" print size...

A small selection of printing blocks that we have hanging in an original frame used to hold original type lettering. We've acquired the blocks over a number of years, purchasing them in antique fairs & other shops as we've seen those that we like. My favourites are the Penguin book logo and the HMV (master & his voice) logo (not shown).

Hope you all had a Happy New Year. I'm off to work now.....
