Thank you SO much to sweet Cagla of Blythe Chic for this adorable set! I just love it, Cagla! Holly loves it too...it reminds her of another time! Thanks too for your oh so sweet gifts! The Goldies are especially excited with their pressie from Maya!!! Will show later....have to run this morning!

Whilst Huw was putting the Christmas decs away today, I started tending to the floral arrangements and flowers. This is part of what was left of a gift of Spring Flowers , a hyacinth to be exact, that my sis-in-law sent us as a Christmas pressie so I grabbed the opportunity and put some pieces into one of my scalloped spoons which I’ve used in the past in last year’s 365/366 set.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of my fantastic followers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, thank you so much for all the support in 2019, I really appreciate every fave and comment.

Thanks to Lynne for this darling dress...what a terrific pressie! We adore it! Dress and petticoat by Dollicious.

Pattern by Tamiko in issue 9 (I believe) Of Fat Quarterly

The pattern is for a pot holder, I just enlarged it to make placemats.

Another one from the archives....

I've used a texture by Vintage Findings-Drippy, which just kind of sums up the feelings I have right now because of all this rain. The weather bomb has hit Northern Ireland and some of the storms have been unreal... thankfully being inland has meant that we are fairly well sheltered compared to the coastline, but it's still depressing :(

Hope the rest of you out there are safe and warm and dry....

Enjoy your Thursday, just 2 weeks to go and its Christmas Day - yippee..... my pressie shopping is all done and most of it is wrapped...

Thank you everyone for the fantastic comments on my previous photos, I am so grateful to all my Flickr friends for your support and friendship throughout 2014 :)

Lovely hat was from Chantal in our T.O. secret santa swap!! I didn't get a chance to take too many pictures (oops) so I'm showing now~~

There was also a lovely Muslin dress and kickin' red vintage boots in my pressie *__* A little late, but thanks Chantal~~

Taken for the Macro Monday theme of paper. Some shredded paper used to wrap a birthday present and a birthday paper gift bag. HMM!

Posting this a day early, in hospital tomorrow for more biopsies and not looking forward to a painful weekend after all the prodding and poking, but I got this sucker early and will do just fine, have a fabulous Friday anyway, image taken with my new birthday pressie my Lensbaby Twist 60mm.

Well, I simply had to share this. I opened up my Birthday Pressie from my partner to find the complete boxed set, all 15 Seasons of Supernatural...

I was so overcome with emotion over this that I have written a Blog about our first foray into the world of Supernatural, so I am hoping you might like to click on the link and have a longer read.

www.shelleyturnerpoetpix.com/post/supernatural-a-birthday...

But the conversation on opening my present went a bit like this..

"Oh! You have got me the whole Boxed Series..."

"Well, you said an Angel was in it."

"But...this went on for years...you got the whole lot?"

"You said the guy who plays him was a poet as well, yes?"

"I...well, yes amongst other things, but..."

"Angels change lives, help people."

"I know, but.."

"You are my Angel you know."

".......?!!"

"And I think you are an Angel to other people now as well."

".......?!!"

Reader, I think you can see why I married him all those years ago.

But then he played me this...

I think this was one on the best birthday's I have ever had in my life.

African Bull Elephant Mask work in progress

By me Q

120cm x 33cm of baking paper

Using the face mask pleat technique to give details to this model..prob about half way through this..still have to detail the top of the head and the ears along with the tusks..

Going to try to put this into a shadow box or display frame so can be hung on a wall.

Desperately trying to finish this as its a Christmas pressie !!!

Wish me luck !!!

Many have told me about the perks of sunrise photography, and once Santa delivered his pressie to me in the form of an alarm clock (two of them even), I was set to go. Once on location, the thought occured to me why I haven’t done so before (actually, I did, but the sun shied away that morning). Capturing those colours, painting a scene in different shades of intense reds or soft pinks, is probably the most relaxing pursuit I’ve engaged with for a while. I can well understand how it can become addictive.

That sight, of the sun hovering just below the horizon before gradually peeking up and revealing more of the landscape to capture, is simply stunning.

Gone are my usual replies of “I am a night owl” as in sunrise photography, it is the early bird that catches the best light. Getting up early also saved me time on endless cloning, as so many people gather around popular locations at sunsets.

I think I am addicted.

This is the firsy shot in my new studio, a Valentines pressie from Max,

Thank you Max xxxxxx

...and I said, "What will you have to open on Christmas?"

Goldie: We think Santa will bring us lots of things; we want to see Auntie Jane's pressie NOW, PLEASE?

And since I can never say no to them...I said OKAY!

I remember taking this Monday morning and I remember downloading it to the computer where it still remained when I finally woke up this afternoon 30 hours later! AHHHHHHHHH,

So forgive me if I haven't been a visiting but I will once I have finished painting my husband's birthday pressie. I started it on Sunday but sleep interrupted me finishing it.

To all of you my friends, whatever your beliefs I wish you Peace, Health and Happiness! I'll try and catch up with some of your posts, however I'm off for a while as Grandchild No.1 due date is today, so maybe I will get the bestest Christmas Pressie under my tree this year!. Stay safe and well. Happy Christmas/Happy Holidays. Thank You to all who continue to work to keep us safe during this holiday season!

Mrs G came home with a little pressie today......couldn't resist taking a quick pic.....:-)

This David Austin rose was a bare rooted gift, a house warming pressie, if you will. Now beginning to do better climbing one of our pergolas, having acclimatised to a salty air, being by the coast as we are.

Shot using a vintage lens, namely at carl zeis jena ddr pancolor 50mm f1.8

A 'cheap date' or at least a very cheap pressie for the love of your life on Valentine's Day.

Birthday pressie from my youngest, Sarah (tvm sweetie)

Shame I didn’t have this crystal ball before I picked up an SP30 (speeding ticket)...wish me luck on the Speed Awareness Course I’m due to attend on Dec 1 👍🍀

Following the demise of my primary camera a little earlier in the year I have been using my spare, until now! Just ordered a pressie for my retirement, two Pentax K1 ii bodies, one with extended battery grip, a Pentax 24-70mm 2.8 Standard Zoom, a 70-200mm 2.8 Zoom and a well earned proffesional clean for my 100mm Macro, excited, hell yes, but will be coming a week after Christmas, well worth the wait......

( I am so behind this week :(...but Chiky forced me to open this, which is a good thing or we would have missed a lot of good wearing time otherwise!!(hehehehe)

...I am a saver of Christmas gifts til X-mas. lol Anyway, we love this

little sparkly Christmas tree hat and poncho set! eeps!! So sweet.

Toby is thrilled she got to open it, and was requested to wear it...you

really made her (and me) feel special, Aunty Chiky, Thank you! xoxo )

What do I luv to do the most, well my wonderful hubby took me out to capture some photos. The only Valentine gift I needed.

Although the full English went down well too :)

I bought the larger one as a kit about a year and a half ago. Finally nearly finished. The beach hut was a pressie from my kids.

for WAH who are visiting Violet.

My grandmother was called Violet - a lovely name.

I got a box full of bulbed tulips from my MIL today - early birthday pressie. Lovely!!

She is, she gets scared easily. A very sensitive girl.

60th Birthday cake, with a few added chocolates too!

I was thrilled to get a Little Stopper for Christmas. What better way to try it out than a shot of some nice water movement, at St Mary's this morning. It was bitterly cold and we were like bambi's on ice in the car park.

This was the reason I was pottering around my bedroom. I bought myself a "new" vintage perfume bottle and it arrived today.

Its gorgeous, very classic art deco with the strong, clean lines and I won it for A$8 which thrilled me to bits as I very rarely have any money to speak of!

So for the moment, this is where it is living, but no doubt, sometime in the future it will get moved.

it did - but before it went it left me a little pressie - can you see a little drop inside a jar? lol

25. It Stings or Bites

The Chapter 4

Not a description of the tree but more what I kept doing trying to reach the damn thing!

Deceptively steep and quite squishy underfoot, I found it a struggle with my...hefty, yeah lets go hefty, frame. Also I have Osteoarthritis in one of my knees which can make these sort of expeditions harder too but nothing a bad of peas cant sort out when I get home.

I have recently bought another drone, the Mavic Air 2s but have been told in no uncertain terms by the significant other that I cant have it until Christmas lol. She's the boss so no arguments from me and to be fair that's one hell of an xmas pressie!

I already own a mini 2 drone, not that you would know as I don't post images from it on here (they get posted on my IG instead) but the Air 2s has a fantastic 1 inch sensor is a very capable photography tool so expect to see some new angles from me on here in the new year!.

That's all folks. Thanks for reading as always if you have gotten this far and have a fantastic weekend!
